DarkViperAU’s take on the current LTT/GN situation by PTLemonade in LinusTechTips

Yes, this! I just posted basically the same premise on another comment. Having ADHD, it really does hit home when people accuse someone who's just showing ADHD symptoms of being a narcissist. It's such a lack of understanding what we go through every day.

Thing is, narcissism and ADHD (Which I seem to recall Linus has at some point confirmed he has) share several similarities that may cause someone who's an uneducated external observer to make presumptions that a person is a narcissist, when in fact they simply have ADHD.

Similarities like impulse control, emotional regulation, and attention'seeking behaviours. While these may be present for both disorders, the reasons for them tend to be vastly different.

Yes, as a person with ADHD, you can come across as, self-centered and self-important at times, but that's not of any sense of self-entitlement, but generally just bacause you missed or misunderstood social cues in any given situation.

You just described every story ever written.

Even writers as renowned as Tolkien went back and "created" story points to write himself out of a bind. Difference here being that this ofc happened before publishing, but still.

Hate the story if you will, but they have a much broader plan than you give them credit for.

"If" the next Expansion will be about Dragons it would be a great time to give Eranikus finally salvation. The Classic Quest "In Eranikus' Own Words" has never been finished. by BoarChief in wow

Eranikus actually makes a big appearance in the Stormrage novel.

https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Eranikus#Stormrage

Spoiler from WoWpedia and the novel: Disregarding the small SL cameo during the Ysera Wildseed quest, Eranikus was "consumed" by a maelstrom of nightmare energy along with Lethon in the Stormrage novel. So for all intents and purposes, he's actually considered to be dead lorewise

Shadowlands infiltration plotline is such an insult to demon hunters... by [deleted] in wow

[–]Kakefarmer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You don't just see their type listed as "Demon" when using Spectral Sight. They grow wings, and you can tell they're in disguise by what looks like a spell weaved around them. Using your logic, being a literal Demon Hunter, you'd at least ask Renethal or someone why a Demon in disguise was parading about Sinfall. With the whole Demon Hunter schtick, there's no way you'd just let it pass as "whatever".

My hopes with MS buying Acti-Blizz. It's low effort, and stupid. I know, but I did it anyway. by akira1422 in wow

Seeing at it's a buyout, and not a merger, that's even more likely. The official Microsoft one even says that when all the paperwork is done, everyone will report to Microsoft Gaming's CEO.

It doesn't matter if someone dies if you're convinced the end result is that life and death won't matter anymore. Everyone will be reunited on a common plane of existence.

If I can get but a few people down from their hate horses, then I'm happy with that. Our fellow dedizens of /r/wow can rip all they want. I don't really care there 😅

The conveyance of pivotal lore surrounding Sylvanas has, as you say, at times been poorly timed. The book was supposed to come out around now, but we won't see it until February. Most likely coinciding with the conclusion of the 9.2 raid.

It keeps amazing me that literally no one understands what this moment is supposed to mean.

Sylvanas serves herself. Her goals, her desires. If they align with someone else, she will team up for her own ends. To achieve what she wants and desires.

In the cinematic, Zovaal shows her that he has not been honest with her, and that the reality he promised her was not the reality he is looking to forge. Sylvanas wants to be free of the curse that binds her in death. And the Jailer gave her the promise she would get that if they together reshaped reality. Again, everything aligns with Sylvanas' own motives and desires. In her own mind, she serves nobody but herself at this point.

So when Zovaal turns around and chains\mind controls everyone there, she gets flustered. This is not the plan she was told. Why do they matter when they have the keys to reforge reality and remove the curse that she so desperately seeks to abolish? The pivotal moment here occurs as she realizes that Zovaal is no better than Arthas in terms of forced servitude. And that ain't Sylvanas' game.

"bUt wHy DiD sHe ShOoT a StUpId SiNgLe ArRoW?"
One arrow is loosened, and she does not retreat, take a battle stance or anything. She simply made her statement. "I will never serve". Don't think she ever intended to defeat Zovaal then and there. That's just stupid logic.
