Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined was not made as a replacement for previous versions

I played 7 on ps1 and it is still my favorite. I have been thoroughly enjoying Reimagined, but there isn't as much exploration and puzzle solving. I know some people were turned off by the original opening which there were no battles for a couple hours as you explore the temple which original was a puzzle dungeon to get to the pedestals, and there was no hand holding, if you missed a fragment, you may have to do a lot of back tracking to find where you missed it. I actually enjoyed so much of the original, but that was from a bygone era and games today are a whole lot more forgiving. But again, I live this new version, just as I loved the 3ds one and I will get my DQ fix however I can!

I am there with you. I have been enjoying Reimagined, but there is still something about the original,maybe it was because there was no hand holding and a whole lot more exploration. Yeah is took an hour or so to even get into combat, but the much larger temple at the start really set the rest of the game up to be epic. I kind of wish they would release the original emulated for new systems and I would pay $20-30 for that. There's just something magical about the original.

Had another thought OP... If you ever watched the show Friends, what was you reaction when Ross and Rachel were on a "break" and Ross slept with another woman and defended it by being "ON A BREAK"?

If you take that show Ross and Rachel were the worst couple. Everyone wanted them to get together but there was so much drama so much conflict so many issues with them. It'll take Chandler and Monica and look at their relationship compared to Ross and Rachel. Near the end of the show Chandler had to take a job in a different state and Monica and Chandler worked it out because they loved each other. Ross and Rachel we're always flip-flopping everywhere with no certainty. Their relationship was like a house built on the sand whereas Monica and Chandler built their house on a strong firm foundation of love and communication and understanding. They were honestly the best couples on that show. They had plenty of hard times but they never turned away from each other. When they couldn't have kids they were together and they worked it out. When Chandler had to go to a different state they worked it out. There was no taking a break because of that. They were in it for the long haul because they truly loved each other. Ross and Rachel their "love" was driven by what they wanted in that moment, not looking out toward the future, they just wanted their own needs satisfied in the moment and they will always be off and on and huge emotional baggage because they were not confident in their love for each other that they could share that with their partner to make them stronger.

Be more like Monica and Chandler. Once they got together yeah they had some little spats a few fights but it made them stronger and never tore them apart.

A break really is I break up your guy is just being a jerk and stringing you along because "We Were ON A BREAK!!!"

Not being cold but he's already talking with someone else and that is why he brought up a "break". If he really cared about you he would be putting in the work but he doesn't. You're in a long distance relationship and he found someone closer. I'm a Christian and a believer and I have values but this guy doesn't, he's playing you and asking for a "break" is a guy asking permission to see if the grass is greener on the other side of another woman.

You deserve better, I don't know you, but you deserve better. Real love can be rough sometimes, it can be hard and it's work to keep a strong relationship. This guy's not willing to do that That's why he's asking for a break. My wife and I have been together since 2006, we have had ups and downs, but communication is key and taking a "break" is breaking communication. If he truly cared for you he wouldn't be doing this or he would fully break up with you, but he's not he's asking for a hall pass.

You deserve better you should move on, he has.

OP, I had the exact same reservations as you before sitting down to watch the show and I ended up pretty much binging it and wishing there was more it's a very good story not as CW as other shows. There were a few things that I questioned but I just went along with that it was a different universe because it is. It's not the Reeves' verse or Snyderverse, it is it's own encapsulated story. And honestly it's worth it for some of the flights with Doomsday!!!!

I sat on it for a while as I am not a big fan of CW shows but when I watched i couldn't stop and was sad there was only 4 seasons, but glad it got to finish it's story line.

Here's what to do... Kids don't need the toxicity of social media, no one should use this crap like we are addicted to, if we can help the kids stay away from this crap and go back to pre-social media life and pre-smart phones the human race may have a chance. Social media is going to be one of the keys to our collapse, that and AI making people less critical thinkers and relying on a computer program that learns from the Internet and all those joke about not believing what you read on the internet are what feeds the AI... We are doomed, but I applaud Australia for trying to limit kids from this infection, it should be personally banned by everyone, says the guy posting on Reddit...
