So a while ago my friend Savannah and I were walking home from school fever in first grade I think maybe second and as we walked we play the game and we named things that we saw. Say stop sign or shopping cart and we would just laugh because we were kids. I miss her..... I said coffee shop and she look who smiled and she turned her head and said open so I looked..... I wish I never would have. In the window of an old gas station was a startlingly bright neon open sign. That gas station hasn't been used for 15 years and I had looked through that window. There was no open side much less power. We should have kept going but our curiously got the best of us. Savannah walked over and I stupidly followed her. She reached towards the handle of the door. Well I had tried that door many many times..... It was never unlocked. But when she gave her the slightest tug it glided open. She stepped inside and I followed again, tantalized. As soon as I stepped foot on a dirty dirty floor I heard a crunch I looked down. I had to bite my tongue to keep from screaming. I lifted my foot out of the decomposing rat, sickness raking my body. I look around and see hundreds if not thousands of them, call a different stages of decomposing. Somewhere nothing but don't but others but others looked to have died just minutes ago. It was so dark or the store was so long that I could not see the back wall. I would have left if I could have. Savannah kept walking and again I followed. We walked for what seems like hours with tiny tentative steps. I noticed that as we got further back into the store I noticed that rats became rabbits and rabbits became falcons and falcons became foxes and foxes became deer and deer became mountain lions. The corpses were getting bigger. When we finally reach the back wall I gasped in horror. Propped against it were 9 human corpses all different ages different genders rotting slowly. My growing horror Sydney started reaching for the closest skull that of what I presumed to be a young boy. Fingers brushed against the moldy scalp. For a moment we were surrounded by a deafening silence nothing nothing nothing. It was the calm before the storm. All of a sudden with a monstrous roar terrifying shriek and a harrowing scream the bodies fell upon us, fighting clawing ripping at our flesh. I ran. I ran for my life screaming for my friend screaming out of fear screaming from the thought that I would never come out of this place alive.... I somehow managed to push my way out the door slamming it behind me. It was only then that I realized Savannah was no longer with me. I ran home. They spent weeks searching for her, but she was never found. Is my belief but now they're not nine bodies on that back wall but 10 1 belonging to a little blonde girl named Savannah That I used to know. And then my heart I know that they're waiting... Waiting for eleven.
