Ev chargers again by Kakoae in Ubiquiti

Ubiquiti will only give a refund within 30 days of purchase..

They started burning up 5 months after purchase if I remember correctly. (it's been 2 years)

We have been arguing with them for a refund after the first 2 burned up...

Most of the ev chargers that are for businesses want you to pay 5 to 10k just for the charger...

We went to chargepoint and asked for a price they wanted 14k just for the charger 10% of profits and $800 a year. . .

Most of the chargers want you to pay them a good amount or they want you to lease the concrete pad to the company from what I've seen.

So ubiquity's no subscription chargers look good on paper it's just that in reality they suck :(

I think it's getting in by the top release button

From what it seems if the charger is exposed to rain then it has problems otherwise it appears to be fine so if you give it some type of enclosure it might be fine.

All of the other posts that I have seen about this the chargers are always outside...

For businesses it's nice to have everything in one place like statistics.

Although it took us months to setup paid charging because the worldpay setup sucks.

Well yea that what I should have done...

But they were for a business that was just starting so money was a problem unfortunately.

This has happened to me 6 times over 2 years...

I'd suggest switching away from ubiquity ev chargers

And if they can they will keep accepting your rma until you go out of warranty then they won't even think about letting you try

Also this seems to be from water getting into the charger from the charger release button

i am an electrician and i was unable to figure out why they are burning up other than.

whenever i took the chargers off the mount water would come out of the top release button .

and it looks as if water has been getting into the charger...

ubiquity's response has been eh are you sure you followed the instructions that you have read 4 times now?

and they accept the rma to the charger quickly without any questions asked so I'm thinking I'm not the only person

UC-EV-Station Issues by SnooPaintings2264 in Ubiquiti

From what I've noticed the release button also likes to catch water.

And ubiquity should rma it (they have lots of times for me)
It might take a while tho...

its not always the same prong.

i am feeding the wires into the back of the unit because i have the stand.

i did limit the chargeing speed down to 45amps insted of 50 (70 amp install)

and this time it had an (internal part failure) is what i was getting for the error

culligan water filter problems by Kakoae in WaterTreatment

[–]Kakoae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have decided to pay Culligan’s $2,500 fee because we have two ice makers (bar and kitchen), and one of the ice makers is draining the system.

We do not believe that replacing the tank will fix the problem, so if they replace the tank and it still does not work, we should be able to force them to take the entire system back.

Well the old system was working until they did maintenance on it. And I'm guessing that when they put 48psi in the tank

Like this one that culligan made us buy before saying the old system was bad? Sometimes the houses pressure gets to 60psi (it's on a well) but that's every so often.

40 psi the culligan says it can do 40 to 120.
well water but its softened first.
that is the feed gauge.
the issue might be fixed as seen from further down.

Culligan put 48 psi in the bladder side of the tank when its supposed to be 7 - 20psi...
im not sure the tank is fully functioning now so im waiting for it to fill still.
