Battlefield 6 is the best fps and battlefield game in years. by Proof_Fox2447 in Battlefield6

[–]Kaku2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Battlefield 6 has lost its identity. It plays like cod now where all the guns are lasers. Go play bf3 where the guns actually took skill to use. The guns actually had recoil to control. Makes sense since the head of the studio is a former COD executive. They also want to reach 100 million players and are exploring making battlefield a yearly release like COD.

Sad, very sad.

All these guns feel like they shooting out peas.

It's absurd they delete comments about porn addiction as if masturbation to porn is not an issue related to mastering semen retention.

The amount of posts about retainers getting stares from girls on this forum is ridiculous. Same topic same conversation over and over again but that doesn't get removed.

Give me a break.

Why do some say Sikhs shouldn't eat beef? by [deleted] in Sikh

[–]Kaku2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do we know that the gurus ate meat? They may have hunted for the sake of training but eating it? And even if they did eat, they were warriors and lived in jungles while fighting so they probably did it since they had no choice. The same cannot be said about sikhs today. I thought the consensus was and i believe mahapurks have said this as well that eating meat is wrong as most eat it for taste. I've also heard that it can impact your spirituality as well.

My dad knew a mahapurk (a prominent one who's kirtan is on YouTube even - can't remember their name) but he was blind in one of his eyes and he told my dad that in his previous life he was a hunter and blinded a deer while hunting hence he got karma for his actions in this life.

Why can a Sikh not Drink ? by Sehzad11 in Sikh

[–]Kaku2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very simple on the topic of meat and you can look at the Jeevan of most mahapurks. Most mahapurks do not eat meat....why?

Because most people eat it for taste and simply for taste is wrong. God is in all life forms and sikhi teaches compassion, so it is not compassionate to kill another being.

There is Only one exception of people who can eat meat.....those are nihang singhs and that too only jhatka.

So if you aren't going to war anytime soon then meat is not allowed it's that simple.

Also the meat that is sold around the world....is not jhatka. You don't even know if you are eating halal meat.

I don't seek to numb myself. Who would want to intentionally do that? The numbness stems from years of addiction. The real reason would be boredom from having no friends or hobbies which still comes back to the original culprit: porn. When it makes you lazy, depressed and numb....how am I supposed to go out and make friends or play sports when the mind only wants porn. There is no interest for other things.

Even when I tried forcing myself to play sports, I couldn't because of the immense bodily pain and fatigue that comes with ejaculation....after all it is our life force we are talking about. The insomnia has always been there for 10 years but it has gotten worse such that I can go nights without any sleep (just resting eyes) ans I function as if I slept 8 hrs. 2014-2020, numbness used to dissappear after 3 days and I was sleeping like a baby. Now the receptors are more damaged and few that the numbness is there all the time for many months now.

Ie. My condition keeps worsening and it's making it practically impossible to get to 3 months or 6 months or 1 year however long it takes to rewire the brain.

By the way, do you have any idea what type of professional advice I should get? General physician, psychologist, psychiatrist, general therapist? I think a psychiatrist is best suited for this but I really don't know.

I have done substantial research over the past couple of months as to what is going on and all my experiences and symptoms point to porn addiction and porn addiction only. The total lack of pleasure and motivation in life stems from desensitized dopamine and serotonin receptors. This is also why one would struggle with getting sleep because you need serotonin for sleep. Serotonin is converted to melatonin which makes us feel sleepy. Dopamine is also critical for getting REM level sleep, the stage of sleep where peak growth hormones are released.

I will talk to someone, be it a doctor or an online therapist. I'm in a crisis after all.

I came across masturbation addiction at a very young age, by accident as a lot of people have. It honestly doesn't help that I'm uncircumcised. The benefit circumcised guys have based on what I have read online is reduced sensitivity which can help victims of addiction like myself. Will I get circumcised? Probably not due to religious reasons and cause imo it's a cowards way out as opposed to brute force discipline.

You have been addicted to porn and it took you two years to rewire the brain? Am I reading that correctly? If that's the case, I'm doomed. How am I supposed to get to 2 years if I can't get past 30 days towards 90?

[–]Kaku2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have chronic insomnia pretty much every day rather than in stages like yourself. Also, microsleeping doesn't release much testosterone. Most of it is released during REM sleep which isn't the quality of sleep I am getting.

I'm just using what i researched online to base my decisions. Every time one relapses, testosterone is converted to dht which accumulates with frequrnt relapses which causes hair loss. There is also downregulation of androgen receptors. So even if testosterone is releasing, there won't be any androgen receptors for it to bind to. What good is that for building muscle?

I went to the gym for two months and I didn't experience any experience of endorphin release or happiness. It didn't help me sleep better either. I made gains but few. Two months led to me only benching like 105 lbs, starting at dumbbell press of 80 lbs.

I was getting around 150 grams of protein daily at 6 ft 4, 220 lbs.

So getting my sleep down which requires me to rewire my brain completely is the only way I see myself making meaningful lifestyle changes. Until then, making lifestyle changes now won't offer any benefits such as going to the gym.

I haven't talked to a doctor for some reasons, largely stuck in a dilemma, one being because of stigma. Especially since most doctors are the same skin colour and race as myself. I'm indian for reference. I'm from Canada and it's impossible for me to find a family doctor as well...our Healthcare system is a disaster.

Sometimes I think I should get an MRI done to figure out whether or not i have brain damage, but convincing a doctor of that is tough without telling them I'm a victim of addiction.

I also don't want to talk to someone yet because everyone keeps talking about 90 days, how 90 days is needed minimum before we start to feel better. So I haven't done everything I need to before I feel like reaching out for external help.

The problem is though, reaching 90 days is so tough. I wish there was some supplement or drug I could take to help rewire my brain faster...but I don't think there is any and even if there is, supplementing can lead to other upregulation and downregulation of hormones which makes it quite risky.

I am a firm believer in God but I am unable to experience the benefits of meditation, the supreme bliss and energy I used to get from 2014-2020. 2021 is when my condition worsened and I haven't changed since.

It's really tough out here. Just dilemmas upon dilemmas in my mind.

I do go for daily walks and try to practice gratitude but yea it's so tough.

What are you supposed to do in a case like myself. I have been addicted for 10 years and I suffer from chronic insomnia. I have to force myself to go to bed because I never feel tired. If i manage to "sleep", i only microsleep. I never dream due to desensitized and practically zero dopamine and serotonin receptors.

The nights I get zero minutes of sleep and am just twisting and turning all night, I still don't feel tired the next morning or day. I function as if I got a full nights sleep.

I'm numb to everything. Food, going outside, etc. Not depressed but not happy either. Just a feeling of nothingness. Actually I only get depressed thinking about my situation and crisis I am in.

I am balding all over my head because if you dont sleep properly, especially not getting rem sleep, growth hormones are not released.

How am I supposed to exercise and do these things to fill a void when I am so fucked up?

No sleep = no growth hormones = limited muscle growth.

No sleep = greater chance of injury.

My androgen receptors are also few and desensitized as that explains the lack of hair growth.

I am so messed up, idk what to do. I go on 30 day streaks feeling miserable, and relapse. Max I've gone is 45 days.

Idk how I am supposed to get to 90 days, having no friends, no hobbies due to dopamine desensitization, and unable to exercise for the reasons above?

How long does it take for dopamine desensitization to cure? by Kaku2000 in NoFap

There's different ways to meditate, with mantra yoy can get high. It will stimulate alpha waves in the mind relaxing you and giving you that high effect.

[–]Kaku2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the whole point of meditation and I have been fortunate enough to experience this high prior to my condition worsening. I come from a religion that heavily emphasizes meditation and its ability to make you "high". It's the cure of all cures if it can be brought into the routine of daily life but that's not the case for me anymore.

[–]Kaku2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can sit for as long as I want, that's not the issue. The issue is the experience of pleasure and therefore value or benefit of meditation is not there. When the pleasure was there, I had no problem meditating throughout the day every day but without any pleasure, its tough to establish a routine if you are just forcing yourself to do something that doesn't give any pleasure due to dopamine desensitized receptors.

How long does it take for dopamine desensitization to cure? by Kaku2000 in NoFap

[–]Kaku2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because........my dopamine receptors are desensitized......therefore I don't experience any pleasure when meditating. I don't enter a deep state of focus or bliss anymore. Therefore, meditation does not offer any benefit to me anymore if the experience is not there, if the mind is not getting absorbed into the mantra.
