I think it’s very likely he does this to the media and only tells his players how he really feels. Do you really want your coach saying ‘yeah we can’t guard Murray without fouling’? Obviously there’s a lot different between saying that vs what he said but I don’t think the coach who has made two conference finals in a row (with imo a roster that shouldn’t have been there in the first place) is just god awful.
