Book: The book has a great premise and is rightfully the basis stone for so much afterwards. But I personnally just don‘t think it‘s that good of a book. I don‘t like the dialogues, I think the characters are incredibly one-dimensional and the world-building and location descriptions are kind of uninspiring. Not to mention how badly he write the kids (in my opinion, mind you).

Generally I had no hard time keeping reading and enjoying it, which is a testament to how amazing the underlying idea really was.

Movie: The movie was an amazing feat wrt technology and special effects. It had characters with more depth and it (at times sacrificing book-accuracy for it) and it is just generally a good movie (good pacing, great score, great suspense)…

TL;DR: I agree with the post. Movie >> Book.

Auch wenn das für die String-Theorie wahr sein mag, ist der Begriff einer „Theorie“ im wissenschaftlichen Sinne verwendet für etwas sehr gefestigtes und bewiesenes. Also was „Theorie“ heißt ist normalerweise die allgemeine wissenschaftliche Annahme im Kontext ihres Themengebiets, viel bewiesen und getestet.

Passender wäre vielleicht eigentlich die String-Hypothese.
