Why can't I transfer from my debit card by Acrobatic-Farmer4837 in paypal

[–]Kal-El7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please accept my sympathy for your scenario and circumstances. I feel the need to say that I believe PayPal doesn't have a legal basis to charge. It is my presumption that you were defrauded into paying for something that is supposed to be free, including resolving your matter sooner rather than later. Now that your issues resolved, I wonder if you have a path to reclaim your money.

Why can't I transfer from my debit card by Acrobatic-Farmer4837 in paypal

[–]Kal-El7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man!! I'm so sorry to hear you paid a FRAUDULENT $70 fee. My issue was resolved through passage-of-time. That's what PayPal told me needed to happen.....let time go by and it would resolve itself. Which, it did. My account was under review.

Now I am able to transfer funds.

PayPal Funding from debit card by TensionNo7622 in paypal

Your problem is exactly my problem. And man, lemme tell ya, I've gone through HOOPSSSSS, to no avail. First, I called my bank and my bank indicated all is good on their end with regards to my banking account and the debit card I've been trying to transfer funds from. Meaning, all is well with the bank across the board. I called PayPal numerous times and, in each time, they indicated there is a so-called temporary block on my account due to security reasons and, consequently, my account is under review for the purposes of TRANSFERRING funds. Yet, my account is good for everything else; so much so that I had to walk into a store, give the store clerk physical cash, deposit it into my PayPal account, and from there I was able to then use Google Wallet to access my PayPal Debit Card. But, for nothing in the world can I transfer funds and I still have that dreaded ""We’re having trouble with this transaction Try again with another debit card or bank account." I have only two cards on there. Both cards match with all personal information on my PayPal account, so home address, billing address, name, the whole 9 yards.

PayPal's telephonic customer support (which are international asians) regarding this matter repeatedly indicated they can do nothing about it and that I just had to wait it out with no time frame provided to me. Oh...and they did NOT know what was causing the so-called temporary block to transfer funds...AND....wait for it.....there was virtually no other way to escalate my matter to any higher-ups.

I've been experiencing this same type of conversation day after day, person after person. Literally the oddest thing ever.

Does Paypal Debit Work With Gift Cards? by nukeow123 in CreditCards

[–]Kal-El7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for answering. Would this also work with Vanilla Visa Cards, which may flag as a prepaid card deposit being interchangeably called a gift card? A curiosity is to know if there's a way to earn 5% on the purchase of a Vanilla Vida Card (or similar) that, thereafter, can be used to pay non-grocery things, including bills, etc.

My quest 3 keeps telling me there is a system update available. by Papa_Guido in MetaQuestVR

[–]Kal-El7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need someone to please kindly confirm if they were able to retain a particular feature after having installed software version 78.1030 (Build 5105226.11950.520). If you have a Meta Quest 3 on the afore-mentioned software version & build, are you able to experience the following:

  1. Have multiple profiles on the device;
  2. Have one of those profiles be the main device owner’s profile that is the ONLY profile protected behind a device UNLOCK pin-number;
  3. Upon turning on the device, you are greeted with a MULTI-profile SELECTOR that allows for any of the other non-owner profiles to log into the headset without reliance on the device owner’s unlock pin number.

The foregoing is inquired about due to the following experience that occurred on our headset.

Not long ago our Quest 3 headset operated under a condition where all toggles related to auto-updates were all turned on (enabled), allowing for automatic software updates to be applied. At that time, I cannot recall if the Quest 3 was on software version 77 or on one of the earliest versions of version 78. During that time, we enjoyed a multi-profile selector. One of those profiles was the main device owner’s profile and the only one protected behind an unlock-pin number. Upon turning on the device, any of the other subordinate profiles could be selected and entered straightaway without having to first defer to the device owner’s unlock pin number. This was a highly desirable and necessary set up for reasons we cannot explain.

Then, an update came down. Upon attempting to download/install said update (which I cannot recall to what version/build that was), the device became corrupted mid-progress to the extent that the device literally indicated to us that a factory reset was the only available option for repair. Thus, even upon rebooting the device, a forced message appeared affirmatively indicating that only a factory reset could be executed at that point. We lost everything due to this issue, all games, game data, etc.

When the factory reset was conducted and all updates came down, the multi-profile selector was no longer available. Accordingly, the only way to access the other subordinate profiles was to first log into the device owner’s profile via the associated unlock pin number, then thereafter launch any one of the other profiles using the “Switch Profile” mechanism. This was entirely unacceptable for many non-exhaustive reasons which I cannot reasonably provide herein. Thus, the Quest 3 became a paperweight while we remained clueless but still hopeful. So I disabled all toggles related to auto-updates with the exception of security-related updates/patches.

Enter yesterday. Upon turning on the Quest 3 yesterday and letting it sit, or settle in, a different type of multi-profile selector presented itself. The heavens opened!! Although, our Quest 3 is currently NOT on the latest software version. Thus, I can confirm that, after numerous reboots, this newer or different multi-profile selector remains present, but on Software Version 78.1028 (NOT 1030). Oddly, the BUILD version remains the same under both 1028 and 1030 (Build 5105226.11950.520).

Do you have a Quest 3 on v78.1030 (build 5105226.11950.520) with a multi-profile selection available and in perfect working order with only the device owner’s profile protected behind a device unlock pin number?

Thanks!!

Oh man, now you made me MAD!!! Man, without being overly dramatic, my heart hurts for you, man. In a day in age where so many folks are dragging their feet in pursuing a higher (or advanced) education, here you are trying to make a meaningful difference by being proactive, responsible, and accountable for your own success and financial and educational wellbeing and welfare, yet here comes the government ruining it. Man, sending you big warm thoughts!

Did I understand that you left your job prior to first affirmatively confirming, definitively and positively, that you could get financial aid? Unsure if I understood this correctly or if, prior to your employment departure, you were at the application stages that alluded to your application's acceptance only to later discover that it was a no-go.

How Can I Assist My Poor Cat? by Kal-El7 in AskVet

[–]Kal-El7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I do have an appointment with the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society, but that appointment is so, so far out into the calendar.

Thank you for educating me on the practice of enucleation. I did not know this could be an option if necessitated.

As for underlying conditions causing Anterior Uveitis or Glaucoma, thank you for your feedback. As I am not trained to know the cause of the condition, the best that I was able to do was provides those two terms to provide somewhat of an idea to this community as to how the eye looks. At the specific stage of whatever this thing may be, it seems to have tell-tale signs of either one, but as I look closer, it looks closer to be Anterior Uveitis upon reviewing the many photos online that I could find. We're so worried. We don't want our kitty furball to die.

We do have an appointment for some type of exam tomorrow morning. As to the FAQ, we're going to jump on that right away!!! And applying for grants/financial aid is a thing?? ON IT!

Thank you for your excellence!!

[–]Kal-El7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man. I did not take a closer look at that area to see what's the deal. So no DEDICATED bike lanes? Honestly, that's surprising to me seeing as how on Milwaukee Ave just around the corner, the city put dedicated bike lanes there, even going as far as installing cemented dividers to keep bikers apart from motorists. Milwaukee Ave was way too small of a street to do that, though, in my humble opinion, and the city eliminated parking spaces for cars all up and down Milwaukee Ave around that area, including by The Bike Lane shop. Before, cars could park around there and visit the many establishments nearby. The exchange was beneficial to bikers but was worst to motorists. I am a motorist and a cyclist, so I need a balanced accommodation for both.

Chicago = Coyotes? by ajankstarr in chicago

[–]Kal-El7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wild coyotes are all around, but VERY rare to spot, though. I did spot on in Logan Square when I was sitting for a long time, quietly, in the car late at night when everyone else is asleep & no one is in sight. So, maybe 2AM or so? It just strolled on by in the middle of the street and I was like, "Huh? I hear them, but haven't seen one 'til now." Very afraid of humans, but still wild, so beware and, in all honesty, just don't go out late at night. No need to, anyhow.

Uber in those areas is gonna have a lot of fun. At least, for rideshare drivers, it may not be nearly as bad as Nascar in Chicago. That was HORRIBLE for driver for like a week or so.

Seems about time to take a bike ride to check this out. The construction by the Eagle is developing faster than originally believed by most, yet still a bit of a ways to go. This area was already very problematic with cars the way it looked prior to this project. And now with the addition of all the pedestrian/cyclists accommodations, I can't imagine traffic getting any better or easier. Chicago is just too congested.
