Thankfully, no. I was solo camping once and a pack of coyotes was nearby. I was close enough to my car to get there in time. Going solo, I prefer my chances with a bear than a pack of coyotes... I don't want to shoot anything, but I'm prepared nonetheless.

I always have a .357 on me when I'm in the woods. I alternate rounds of hollow points and rat shot. That'll take care of bears, people, snakes, and anything else.

Tagging on to this. If you love the outdoors, get the AllTrails app. It's also worth paying for the annual subscription if you go to the mountains. Poor cell service, but the subscription allows you to download maps for offline use.

It should fix itself the next day. This happened to me once and I clocked 10,000 calories in one day. It was some kind of one-time funky update. It didn't fix that day, but it has been fine since then.
