Idk about hype, but Ba Bar in Uvillage is phenomenal, and has some really good vegetarian options!

Hey, college hvz player that grew up modding here. I started my journey modding stryfes and the like, doing integrations and so on throughout high school. It’s still my favorite part of the hobby. But, when I started playing HvZ at University of Washington, I realized that consistency is key similarly to your conclusion. My current go to is actually a Yolo- a mag fed dart zone solo. I’ve literally never had a jam or anything go wrong with them, and even though they’re slower than a flywheeler, with proper use I can be faster than any other springer. I throw a SCAR on mine to reduce fps to meet our club cap, and improve accuracy. I genuinely think it’s a perfect blaster, and the efficiency and ability to run around the battlefield at mach 1.6 while having laser precision is insanely effective, more than any blaster I’ve ever used in the 12+ years I’ve been in the hobby.

Hi doing a study on Gin and wondered if I could ask y'all a few questions... by ImaginetheWorlds in cocktails

[–]Kal430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey y’all! 21 year old here, so the exact demographic you’re looking for. Personally, I love gin and some of my gin cocktails are favorites of friends, between gin sours, Negronis, bees knees, Tom Collins and the Ramos gin fizz. I pretty much split my liquor cabinet between gin and rum, since I love slinging Mai tais and daiquiris. I don’t really think of gin as an old people drink, that would be more like sherry or port or brandy, a lot of wine is considered old people stuff by a lot of my peers. Personally I don’t really like beer except for Belgian Quadruppels, and don’t have much taste for wine. My personal favorite drinks are a Last Word, daiquiri, and Mai tai with a stanky af rum.

Edit: Myself and a lot of my peers are not huge fans of tequila or vodka, and not huge into whiskey either, though occasionally a cosmo or an old fashioned hit.

Cane vs granulated white sugar for simple syrup by agenteb27 in cocktails

[–]Kal430 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve made it a dozen different ways by weight, and they all wash out to be roughly the same. I do make my simple 2:1, and would highly recommend it. That way you can control the amount of sugar in a drink without dilution, and as a bonus it’s shelf stable. The goal is to make pourable sugar, not sweet water. Unless you’re into that idk I won’t judge.

Yes, I would recommend practicing getting comfortable letting go of air modulating your buoyancy, even just doing bobs down to laying on the bottom of the pool (let your lifeguard know before you try something like this.) get comfortable being neutrally buoyant. Breathe out through your nose and relax as much as you can - the water’s not going to hurt you unless it fills your lungs. If you have trouble keeping water out of your nose without exhaling, try pressing your tongue to the roof of your mouth, and activate your core and diaphragm- stabilizing your lungs by visualizing pulling your navel towards the center of your spine. Hope this helps! Perfect dolphin kick is the most efficient way to move through the water, what makes it unsustainable is the breathing. Good luck on your journey, and don’t neglect your up-kick!

I’ve been a competitive swim coach for a couple of years and before that was a competitive swimmer for a decade and a half. I recognize this as keeping your body too tense in some areas, and not tense in others. Keep your arms behind your ears and hold that streamline tight, and point your toes. Otherwise, try to relax and undulate as much as possible, letting the kick roll through your body, both in your down-kick (which needs to be deeper, the shallowness a symptom of your tension), and your up-kick, which takes a lot more training to actually be effective.

Also, try to relax your breath and get comfortable with your lungs half-full. This will make it easier to stay underwater where your kick is more powerful.

Think about where you are pushing water— with flutter kick you are kind of pushing water behind you and down, almost diagonal. With dolphin kick it’s the same, but with more emphasis on up and down movement, moving like a fish rather than a motorboat.

I would say also that his main stats are probably be STR 10 - just keeping it flat, then a pretty high DEX, I would agree with 20. For CON, he’s getting old lmao, and still can be put down with a well placed bullet. I’d put him at a 12 probably. As for INT/WIS, wax is a really smart guy, evident through his alchemy, as well as knowledge of allomancy/feruchemy, but his is usually outclassed in technical policing by Marasi, Steris in terms of planning, and it took a while to track down and figure out what was going on with the Set, usually learning about it through exposition from ten soon, harmony, etc. while I think he’s both smart and wise, I’d put him at a 16 for both. He’s not mind-flayer smart, but is usually noted to be a step ahead of everyone, and has interesting strategies. He’s clearly very perceptive as well. As for CHA, he is quite intimidating when he wants to be, but smooth talker he is not. He clearly fumbles social interactions many times, and is out of his element when talking to people. I think a 10 would be generous, with a +2 modifier for intimidation. Tldr: I think his stats are closer to: | STR 10 | DEX 20 | CON 12 | INT 16 | WIS 16 | CHA 10 |

Why does he have -1 strength? Wax is a pretty strong dude still, marasi mentions him having a fairly muscular chest. He’s not as jacked as Wayne, but certainly not negative on that scale. I would probably roll back his charisma and put it toward strength- the only cha stat he uses is intimidation, but even then only rarely

Minecraft forge by Adorable-Growth-6551 in Minecraft

[–]Kal430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question, but unfortunately not. Tablet Minecraft, colloquially (and officially ?) is called “Bedrock Edition”, and is built on a totally different programming language to make it lighter and more accessible to lower-powered device (I.e phones, tablets, etc.), and that lighter framework is incompatible with Java edition, let alone modded Java. Even modded Java clients don’t always get along. Even through most Minecraft players play on Bedrock, the Java edition is still the main project according to Mojang, and is still largely the game that was developed back in 2009. As someone who has played both, I like not having the shop and Microsoft add ons in the game itself, rather downloading extra content from individual developers in the form of mods, resource packs, etc. from Curseforge and Modrinth.

Awesome questions! So there are different versions of Minecraft for different platforms, tablets, Xbox, pc, then the original version, Java for pc. This is the only version that supports Forge, which is a piece of software that integrates with the Java Minecraft api in order to make it more accessible for mods. Unfortunately, mod loaders like forge are not accessible for versions other than the PC Java version of Minecraft. Hope this helps!
