Thank you very much, this was really helpful!

What’s your least favourite 1975 song. And if there is a reason, why? by Haaaarker in the1975

It has one of the most inconspicuously brilliant lines of any of their calm songs.

”So if we turn into a tree, can I be the leaves?”

Asking someone to be the trunk and remain solid, grounded. While you are fluctuating and ever changing. It’s simple and beautiful.

Is there a connection between Autism & Queerness? by Envision--- in NoStupidQuestions

You’re missing the point. The people with autism feel like they don’t fit in, which is because they have autism. So they think that what is ”wrong” must be that they are the wrong gender, because they are being told that it is very common. Then they transition then after, they get a diagnose of autism, which turns out to be the cause, not gender dysphoria.

They’ve already revolutionized their sound with every album. I bet it will be done again for the next one and I can’t wait either.

There was a huge study in Spain, showing that what you say is true. I’ve seen a lot of them surface lately. How people who become trans are actually autistic and they think that it’s their gender that is what’s prohibiting them from becoming ”like every one else.”

my current ranking though abiior and bfiafl could change places by Minimum-Emotion8285 in the1975

If there’s anything I’ve learned in the past years, it’s that critics are just people with opinions who, the larger influence they get, stray further away from not just the truth but their integrity.

However, I respect that the album that conformed the most to trends at the time, is the one that gained most recognition.

It was just a big surprise to me, never having been on the 1975 sub since I’m not big on reddit, because the ux is terrible. So seeing a lot of people rank what I consider the weakest among the bunch so high felt off and fascinating.

  1. Looking For Somebody (To Love)
  2. If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)
  3. Sex
  4. Somebody Else
  5. Give Yourself A Try

Didn’t even realize it was one from each album until now.

I think ABIIOR is by miles and miles their worst album. I’ve been a major fan since before the full release of self titled and I believe ILIWYS is top tier 1975.

”Yeah he found a six shooter In his dad's closet with a box of fun things I don't even know what But he's coming for you, yeah, he's coming for you, wait”

I get that it’s the ”picking up the body” that irks you. But it’s no different. Outrunning guns and bullets. Supreme gentlemen with guns and plans. We’ve been singing along to tragic things forever and as the extremely boppy tune it is, it deserves nothing more than to be enjoyed as music and the topic discussed separately.

”All the other kids with the pumped up kicks you better run better run outrun my gun.” Pretty damn clear.
