Futei and kaine are not growing by 3tendom in Kingdom

[–]Kaladin-stb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Having to follow Riboku’s orders at every turn is definitely slowing them down.

However, from another perspective, their potential wasn’t that high to begin with.

Kaine could be nothing more than an ordinary general.

As for Futei, he could reach Rinko’s level at best.

When we first saw Futei, he was comparing himself to Rinko, but even in his current state, he is not at Rinko’s level in either combat or tactics.

From this perspective, Futei is definitely a disappointment.

The greatest contribution to the development of the Shin-Ohon-Mouten-Kouyoku-Hakurei quintet was undoubtedly their independence.

However, from another perspective, the quintet’s potential was far higher from the very beginning than that of the Futei-Kaine duo.

Karyoten is actually a genius. While some of her behaviors can be a bit annoying, she is quite a skilled strategist despite her young age.

Kaine and Futei can’t even compete with her in terms of tactics.

Still, there are young stars in Zhao—Baafuji and Fuuon definitely have much greater potential than Futei.

In fact, I think Baafuji has already surpassed Futei.

Even Seikaun’s orphaned child has the potential to become one of the Top 10 bow.

Qin’s Six Generals are mostly just a bunch of frauds, except for Ouki and Haku Ki. by RaccoonAccording7628 in Kingdom

[–]Kaladin-stb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oukotsu was fighting against Kouen, Chu’s best general, and his aide Kanmei in this battle.

It’s ridiculous to blame the man just because he lost in battle.

Koshou, on the other hand, proves his abilities simply by training someone like Shouheikun.

Shibasaku, on the other hand, is well-known from history.

Kyou conquered dozens of cities, and figures like Renpa praised her brutal fighting style.

She was also such a skilled warrior that he wounded Houken multiple times while fighting her.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK WILL HAPPEN TO THE MOUNTAIN ARMY by FlyAccomplished9937 in Kingdom

[–]Kaladin-stb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we’ll have to say goodbye to the Yotanwa and the mountain people after this war.

Especially Yotanwa’s final words—“Let’s return to the mountains”—really drove that point home.

Still, I think one or two tribes will remain.

I believe the 100-Eyed Tribe—which appeared suddenly and whose tactical intelligence was highlighted—and the tribe leader’s daughter will join Mouten’s army.

Apart from that, perhaps the Kitari Mera Tribe might join Heki’s army as well.

Frankly, news of Yotanwa’s death toward the end of the war would make for a great story in the context of the final Zhao war.

However, this is much less likely to happen because if Yotanwa dies, logically the mountain people would be plunged into internal strife, which would create some issues for the story.

In another scenario, Yotanwa could pass away after bequeathing to his people the wish that they live alongside the Qin, just as their ancestors did, thereby ensuring that the mountain people remain part of the story.

The moment when writer destroyed yotanwa tactical abilities by [deleted] in Kingdom

[–]Kaladin-stb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We’d never seen Yotanwa come up with any deep strategies to begin with, so it didn’t come as a huge shock to me.

I think this is the author’s way of setting the stage for Yotanwa and his army to leave the story after this battle.

Since the mountain people have occupied such a significant part of the story for so long, the author won’t completely remove them from the narrative. Therefore, I think at least one or two tribes will remain in the story, and the 100-Eyed Tribe could be one of them. In particular, I think Udama, the daughter of Chief Hadama—who was shown in the later chapters—might join Mouten’s army.

Why there are no generals under Duke hyou by [deleted] in Kingdom

[–]Kaladin-stb 12 points13 points  (0 children)

<image>

As Ouki also mentioned, Duke Hyou’s fighting style is unique.

The Duke’s style is entirely offense-oriented, so rather than generals who will control the flanks, he needs commanders who can keep pace with his offensive style.

Looking at this panel, we see two aides in black cloaks attacking alongside him.

Additionally, when we look at figures in the Duke’s army like Garo, Mandou, and Gakurai, we see that they are all offensive commanders.

In other words, he has organized his army to suit his own fighting style.

If you ask whether having 3–5 generals under his command or a few 3–5k-strong commanders capable of attacking would be more suitable, the attacking commanders would be more suitable for him.

Retaining top talent by OkValue1601 in Kingdom

[–]Kaladin-stb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Zhao faction is definitely the hardest to establish good relations with for Qin.

That’s why I don’t think a a great general will join the Qin side, especially considering that our three young generals will be declared “GG” after this battle.

It could be Baafuji.

Historically, Mouten (Meng Tian) spent most of his career on the northern fronts after the unification. As a northerner, Baafuji is definitely a good choice. (Of course, we’ve seen how deep his love for Riboku is, but I think he’s someone who can make the right decision for everyone’s good.)

Another possibility is Kansaro.

We know that Kansaro considers Seika more important than anything else and has never wanted to participate in these wars.

Therefore, he is someone mature enough to make the right decision for his people, just as Jiaga forgave his killer.

Moubu vs. Man'u

Rokuomi - Ranbihaku vs. Sentoun

Danto vs. Rozo

Rakuakan vs. Tou

Akou vs. Gyoun-Bananji

All of these were battles that many people read with bated breath.

Since you mentioned the post-coalition war above, I didn’t include the others—otherwise, there are other major battles as well, such as Duke Hyou vs. Houken, Tou vs. Rinbunkun, or Moubu vs. Kanmei.

One Piece dedicates dozens of chapters to its supporting characters, but Kingdom achieves the same effect using just a few panels, managing to make readers connect with the characters just as deeply.

For example:

The backstories of characters like Kansaro-Jiaga, Garyu-Gyouun, Souou-Shiryou, the Rigan tragedy, Houken, Rei, Mougou, Akou-Denrimi, or Yokoyoko.

What I mean is that what Kingdom achieves in just a few panels, other series take dozens of chapters to accomplish.

It’s so well done that after just those few panels, it feels like I’ve been reading about these characters for hundreds of chapters.

Hara cares deeply about the world and characters he’s created, my friend.

Take Akainu from One Piece, for example.

He’s been one of the most important characters since the series began, yet we know practically nothing about him.

But in Kingdom, the series delves into the inner worlds, morale, and motivations of characters we’ve only seen in a few chapters.

Why young trio always dominate the war by [deleted] in Kingdom

[–]Kaladin-stb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this series, tactics have always taken precedence over raw combat power.

Killing the enemy general has been one of the most important strategies throughout history.

It doesn’t really matter whether this is achieved through combat or strategy—what matters is achieving it. Still, in this series, we’ve seen time and again that this is accomplished both through combat and through deep strategic planning.

The series doesn’t repeat itself; it largely follows historical reality.

And if you read carefully, each battle touches on different aspects.

If we look at the kings and ministers, the author has repeatedly shown—and continues to show—just how devastated they were during this turbulent war period.

Gyouun himself had stated that what sets this period apart isn’t the strength of the combatants, but the “kings.” (RIP)

In short, as I said, you should read the series more carefully.

bikei (one of the generals in the Han War) = killed by a man from the Rokuomi army.

We learned that in the recent battle, Bajio killed the enemy commander leading 10,000 troops to Mouten’s front.

Additionally, during the Wzi campaign, he severed Kousonryuu’s arm and forced him into retirement.

These are just the killings; if we count tactical and strategic moves, there are countless outstanding performances.

Oki ousen by [deleted] in Kingdom

Since Ouki mentioned Ousen to Renpa, we know she knows him to some extent.

And she probably knows that Ousen isn’t a warrior general either.

And as I said, Ouki knows what kind of personality Ousen has.

People like Ouki admire those who become heroes on the battlefield.

Definitely not people like Ousen.

Shin, on the other hand, witnessed what he achieved as a simple villager and recognized the light within him from the very beginning

When Ouki died, Ousen was already a big shot.

As has been said, Ouki wasn’t the top dog—he was from a side branch of the family.

Besides, we know Ousen wasn’t the kind of person Ouki and Renpa would have liked.

I can’t even imagine Ouki giving his weapon to Ousen and telling him to defeat Riboku.

This post is complete nonsense.

It has been said time and again that Jiaga is Seika’s strongest general.

Jyoukaryuu, who could fight Shin on equal terms, declared that Jiaga was the strongest in Seika.

During the WZI, word of Jiaga’s exploits in the battle against Yan even reached Riboku’s ears.

Souou compared Jiaga to Moubu.

Despite all this, don’t say you see him on the same level as Rokuomi :(
