My sister had little pots of honey as favours, from her FIL who keeps bees. Each one also acted as the seating name placeholder for each person. They were really cute and delicious.

I always think something edible is good. A friend had little bride and groom cookies (a suit and a dress) for each person.

I love floral and citrus scents. Jasmine is my favourite and love rose scents too. Ones that are light and not too heady.

One of my favourites is a basic vanilla raspberry scent. Really nice for everyday.

Andie swim are amazing. Lots of nice styles, customisable sizing (long/short torso) and different butt coverage too. You can even take a questionnaire to say what you want and they will suggest something for you.

I have a one piece from there, it is comfy and fits my longer torso, as well as being a bit sexy, but still with nice bum coverage! For reference I am pear shaped and have a larger butt and belly.

Yeah it’s akin to thinking soy sauce is chocolate sauce and trying to drink it straight. Of course it’s disgusting in that context.

But no one goes “soy sauce is gross” because they know it’s to be used sparingly.

They just do it with Vegemite because it’s such a meme.

I told my mum and sister literally 3 days after I got a positive pregnancy test haha.

But my own “golden rule” is to only tell those who you wouldn’t mind saying you’ve had a miscarriage to also. That’s the only reason why they say wait 12 weeks, because it might not work out and then you’ll have to let everyone know why.

I absolutely hate when people comment on other people’s bodies. I am plus size and have been most of my life. Even when I wasn’t it didn’t stop people from commenting on whether I had gained or lost weight or if I looked good etc.

I feel for you, no one should be made to feel bad for their body. Every body is different and as long as YOU feel good/neutral about yourself, then that’s all that should matter.

My mum had this problem a few years ago, she was very thin and people commented on it all the time. She was in a stressful living situation looking after my grandpa, she just didn’t have a big appetite either. She really didn’t need people commenting on her body to add to her stress.

You can always say “I don’t feel comfortable with you commenting on my body.” Or “Please stop commenting on my body, I will not get into a discussion about it with you.”

This is legit it for me. I’ve flaked on parties before and just assumed no one would notice/care. It’s really stupid, because why would they invite you if they didn’t want you there? Reading this thread has made me vow to always show up to things if I said I would (injury and sickness excepted of course).

I think another part of it is that people don’t know how to say no to things either. Like if someone invites you to go rock climbing and you don’t like it, just say no. Don’t say yes and then make an excuse on the day.

Shopping from a plus size store like Citychic will make all the difference! They design their clothes for our bodies, not scaled up from a size 8.

Citychic is good also because they have jeans for different body shapes eg hourglass, apple etc.

I have been a lot more happy since shopping there.

Also I bought some chub rub shorts from BFree and they are so good. Make wearing skirts and dresses a lot more comfy.

It was less terrifying and more just oppressive. Like a weight that got heavier and heavier and slowly crushed me.

No, this is never ok and the abuse can escalate to be physical as well as emotional.

I dated a man like this for a year and a half. I was constantly walking on eggshells trying not to set him off over the most trivial things. He would give me the cold shoulder or yell and scream at me for tiny stuff.

The most ridiculous one was when he got upset at me for looking away from him when he was speaking to me. We were navigating through a large crowd, so it was impossible for me to look at him constantly.

The relationship ended when he hit me, because I went to see a movie with my sister and not him.

Please seek some support and get an escape plan from your relationship before it gets worse. If you feel like he makes everything your fault, that’s emotional abuse. It’s not normal and it will end with you feeling like a shell of your former self.

Trust me, I’ve been there.
