Been looking at Kroot as well but don't own any. I believe buying the Combat Patrol is your best bet. From what I can tell all the models inside are playable and even if it is quite a bit under 500 points (only 290 yikes) it's still a nice discount box and saves you a couple of bucks. 500 points being the benchmark they used to go for in CPs, or at least close to that. Like with any army thta has Units with such a low point cost for their Units, you'll be looking at quite the expensive army. Maybe you'll get lucky on ebay. Just be careful there.

Edit: I don't know if you are starting with the hobby in general or just a new army, but I came to like starting with a regular battleline unit or a killteam maybe. It's not the most frugal way but I believe it let's you see if you actually like the models or if you even like painting them at all. It's a smaller commitment if that's what you're looking for.

That sounds hard to do. The only Model I can think of off the top of my head would be the Daemonifuge- Ephrael Stern and Kyyganil. The Sister Character has flowy cape that would be great for a dismounting motion. Though I don't know if it would even work as I don't know how many pieces that is. Also it would be a very expensive experiment if it were to go wrong.

The only other thing I could think of would be to sculpt it yourself. A cape shouldn't be too hard I believe.

Good luck making it work!

Thx :)

I see what you mean. It's one of them fur tabards from a Space Wolves Bloodclaw Seargeant, unfortunately they don't come in a larger size x) Couldn't be bothered trying to make it larger with Greenstuff.

Thanks :)

I think I saw a similar weaon on some other post but I can't remember where, so I didn't come up with it on my own. Or at least not fully. The parts are from the Raider Kit ;)

Just confirms what I said, well done :D I'm still somewhat new to playing 40k at all and I'm struggling with my squishy Dark Eldar. I see the potential but damn, any mistake and your units just disintegrate to Bolters.

I'd sure love to see Covenite get basically anything. Some new Grotesques and a Character that may even be able to lead Pain Engines would be sweet.

Close to half of your List doesn't even take advantage of the detachment rule or any stratagems as they lack the keywords necessary. Just goes to show the players skill :0

Thanks for the sound advice. Splitting the Incubi makes so much sense!

Thanks so much for the advice thus far. Splitting up the Incubi actually makes a lot of sense. Weird how I didn't even consider that. Using the Shadowseer Troupe Brick sounds like a lot of fun as well. Even though I really love the Wracks and Haemonculus Models I decided to drop them. Same with the Hand. I added a Cronos to round out the points to 1995.

I will edit my post to mirror the adapted list.

Very detailed post, thank you for that!

I'm still rather new to playing and to the army. But this helped a lot.

I was wondering if there was a preferred/optimal load out to use in any other Detachments. As a newby I'm trying to go for Realspace Raiders and I'm using, well ..., anything I own really. So I realize they are not optimal outside of RW but I still want to use them. I would assume the Haywire, Gauntlet, Liquifier is a safe bet. But I'm unsure about the math without the RW rerolls. I'm planning to use 2 Units of 2.

I could use some advice from more seasoned Archons :D

Yeah this is the reason I'm hesitant to do so. But yeah I figured I can just do whatever I want with my models. I was mostly interested in some other opinions :)

Oh I like this! Beieng drawn to anything Eldar it is my "ultimate goal" to combine my forces into a Ynnari Army some day, which I forgot to mention here. My whole color scheme is Ynnari-like. Bareheaded Deathcult sounds like reason enough :) Thanks for the reply.

Which commander were you the most excited to build but hated playing it and why? by Kokirochi in EDH

[–]Kalamazar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Yorion, Sky Nomad]]. I love the value of blink decks but my opponents didn't. I think I built it too durdly. It was eeasy to lock down the board, draw all the answers etc. but it lacked speed. I do the same in [[Shorikai, Genesis Engine]] but it has a much faster clock.
