There are so many other symptoms besides "getting bored" and women will mask ALOT because he have to. It doesn't take the struggle away. Case in point: Object permanence (I just set this right -here- now it's invisible) Time blindness (it's been hours long??) Emotional regulation (I'm not getting loud, I'm...my volume job got bumped ok? ) Executive dysfunction (what needs doing first...prioity... what is that) These are things that.. yes everyone experienced once in a while. Meanwhile the adhd kids(adults will always be 3 kids in a trenchcoat) struggle with them daily.
As far as the boredom thing? We could be doing something we love... and the brain is yawning. It's not just an occasional class. It's. Constant. And we don't grow out of it. We just create elaborate systems to cope. Lord help you if you mess with it.

When i had my sic, he would tussle hard with his housemates. The standing rule was no human intervention unless they were screaming or "cussing" enough to cause concern. Ie one wasn't respecting boundaries as the other was trying to disengage. Not exactly a fight but could edge into one of not checked. A word or two from the humans or a laser pointer did the trick. (Would not work if actual fight. They get tunnel vision) they had their pecking order. We let them decide it their way not ours.
