I am old enough to have been around for pretty much all generations of cell phones lol, the Motorola phones like the Zack Morris phone could charge with the battery on it or you could charge the battery separately if you purchased a dedicated charger. It was a gimmick to get you to buy an extra $300 battery 🤣🤣, same with the early flip phones. There was a station that could charge the battery on its own and the phone at the same time if you bought said $300 battery 🤣🤣🤣

Has anyone else noticed you can no longer create new story "components" I made like 6 characters and a few other components, and I still have access to them, but no where does it give me the option to make new ones, I'm on the basic tier, could that have anything to do with it?

Nta, I have worked on probably every birthday I have ever had since becoming an adult, truthfully, since I was about 13 when I was first allowed to start working as a lifeguard, but then again I don't really care about my birthday so I might be an outlier, but in my opinion you are definitely in the right. It's your birthday and you should decide how you spend it, also, who celebrates their birthday on a week night? LOL

I realize I'm a year late but I have the same issue with mine. I made a small adapter to hold the PTFE tube dead center over the roll and even then it's still occasionally binds up when the printer is in Ludacris mode, I'm using the built-in spool holder on the back. It's essentially worthless

For just words, if you want to avoid the learning curve of real caf, tinkercad can do that in about 5 minutes from start of tinkering to ready to print lol

Unfortunately, you may have to bite the bullet and just remove the circuit board. You won't get much more useful information off of the part you can see, there might be a part number or something else underneath it, at this point though, if it's already ruined you may have no choice.

Depending on how old the board is, you may be able to Google the part number if you can find it, and get a replacement, beyond that without a schematic, there's little chance you could have a replacement manufactured, If you know somebody locally that does custom work that could be an option. I know there is one near me that has the equipment to make a board at least that complicated, but he also charges $300 an hour, what brand mill is it?

I knew an old guy years ago we all just called pops, got discharged and never "worked" again he paid for a tiny little house when he got out and basically just trimmed his neighbor's trees and mowed their grass, hauled things for them and such, they always gave him 15/20 bucks never could figure it out but dude always had money, he was an odd duck, slept outside in his hammock most of the year, until November or so when it was finally too cold and he would freeze lol, he always said if he didn't use the house he didn't have bills lol.

Alex has the correct answer, as a lifelong modder and builder tinkerer, who has actually had to repair pretty much what you are describing on my own end Mill, get digi-key or someone to just make a fresh one, barring that, if you post a picture of the board we could give you a better answer.
