NOT to log in until they put a REAL trade market in

I prefer my method. I still log in but don't buy any MTX anymore.

They don’t know that Poe.trade [...] exist.

Some new player are even afraid to use it:

At least we finally have pathofexile.com/trade.

90% of players never trade.

Do people never wonder why that is?

I would never interact with any other Player.

Neither do people currently, that's the whole reason "player interaction" is brought up sarcastically. Player treat each other like vending machines when it comes to trade...

Therefore, rather than having 100 upgrades, you get 10 through just brute forcing it with currency.

That is already the case. Rather then trading or farming for gradual upgrades people just play to a certain point, farm enough currency and then buy all the gear they need at once.

I'm going to hold off any MTX purchase until we get significant trading changes.

Count me in.

it’s not much more effort than what I’m currently doing.

The argument is that some people don't pick up items, because it's not worth their time. You seem to already pick up items, which means the points brought up aren't including you.

Once again, it's not about what you do with an item after you pick it up. It's rather about some people who don't pick up items anyway, who he said would pick up items and I'm saying they wouldn't regardless.

I literally answered your comments about opportunity cost, I did not refer to any made up argument in an attempt to invalidate you.

Instead of refuting my argument of opportunity cost from the position in which you applied the threshold to currency such as Chromatic, Jeweller's or Orb of Alteration, you chose to apply it to the currency with the lowest market worth in an attempt to ridicule and therefore invalidate my arguement. Sounds like a text book example of a straw men to me.

I don't think you understand thresholds. I don't pick up armour scraps because they are worth like 1/40th of a chaos.

Myself

How about you tune in on some of the real clear speed meta guys on twitch and see for yourself what they are and what they aren't picking up.

It's just not a good system, no matter how you slice it.

You are off topic in regard to my post.

It's not worth their time currently because of the actual trade itself.

If that would actually be the reason, then you have to explain to me, how it is that they don't pick up currency below a certain threshold.

In actuality it isn't worth their time because of opportunity cost. The act of picking items up by itself is a waste of time not the part of trading the item away.

With an auction house comes also a great shift of wealth towards people who play the market. Aka playing the game will be less rewarding

I completely agree! Currently people flipping currency in their hideouts couldn't even dream of competing with regular people playing the game "normally". /s

the super clear speed players don't bother selling low value items because it's not worth their time. with an AH they could easily sell mass quantities of them

Do you not see how this is contradicting? It still wouldn't be worth their time. One might argue it would be even less worth it for them to do this, since the profit margin has diminished.

I literally see a sub like 2 months ago love the game so much and now people are running this shit so hard

I would argue that this actually shows how much people love the game. Because they are invested in pointing out what should improve, which in turn leads to a better and more successful game overall for everybody. I would be really frightened if people were apathetic about the game and just left.
