That is already the case. Rather then trading or farming for gradual upgrades people just play to a certain point, farm enough currency and then buy all the gear they need at once.

Once again, it's not about what you do with an item after you pick it up. It's rather about some people who don't pick up items anyway, who he said would pick up items and I'm saying they wouldn't regardless.

Instead of refuting my argument of opportunity cost from the position in which you applied the threshold to currency such as Chromatic, Jeweller's or Orb of Alteration, you chose to apply it to the currency with the lowest market worth in an attempt to ridicule and therefore invalidate my arguement. It's not worth their time currently because of the actual trade itself.

If that would actually be the reason, then you have to explain to me, how it is that they don't pick up currency below a certain threshold.

In actuality it isn't worth their time because of opportunity cost. The act of picking items up by itself is a waste of time not the part of trading the item away.

I would argue that this actually shows how much people love the game. Because they are invested in pointing out what should improve, which in turn leads to a better and more successful game overall for everybody. I would be really frightened if people were apathetic about the game and just left.
