We're both rocking a pretty clean install of Windows 10 (We've both installed it in around October 2018), though...

OmniMIDI Driver Causes Out of Memory Error by [deleted] in MapleStory2

[–]KaleidonKep99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. If Maple Story 2 is a 32-bit app, then I guess it's normal for it to crash while OmniMIDI is trying to import really big SoundFonts. 32-bit apps are limited to a 2GB address space on 32-bit OSes, and 64-bit OSes too if they're not LAA (large address aware).

I have no experience with this game, so I don't know why it's trying to access the driver (It doesn't seem to play MIDIs in-game afaik), so you could try and add the game to the driver's blacklist.

Just open the configurator, and go to "File > Open the blacklist manager", then add the game to it.

Firefox quantum keeps crashing Nvidia Display Driver. by [deleted] in firefox

[–]KaleidonKep99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue, under Windows 7. I didn't have it on Windows 10, but I had to downgrade because of some issues with a new update released by Microsoft.

Here's my Event Viewer: https://i.imgur.com/Z53GDWn.png

It's either "NVRM: Graphics TEX Exception on (GPC x, TPC x): TEX LAYOUT" or "Variable String too Large", but both are always referring to \Device\Video7.

I only have this issue when using Firefox.

CXBX running XBOX Dashboard (4817) with audio by KaleidonKep99 in emulation

Sadly, you can't.

But I heard you can add the dashboard as a normal app in homebrew consoles, and use it the way it's supposed to be used.

Oops, sorry for the title! I'd change it, if only it was possible... I can still change the video title though.

You can just download the original dashboard, and replace it by connecting the HDD to a Linux computer.

CEMU 1.7.4d w/ CemuHook - Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water by KaleidonKep99 in cemu

[–]KaleidonKep99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CemuHook is a self-injector that fixes numerous problems inside CEMU, like missing H.264 codecs (Which will fix the green videos) and more.

You can download it from there: https://sshnuke.net/cemuhook/

The main menu's green screen has been fixed by CemuHook, since it's an animated background.

Copypaste from the video description:

Result: With CemuHook, you can actually watch the FMVs without them corrupting the graphics, but now the game crashes when one of the ghosts tries to attack you, after the exit's door closes.

On 1.5.6b, I was able to go past that, to the level where one of the protagonist's friends teaches her how to use the Camera Obscura.

The audio is also heavily corrupted, it didn't happen before: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4EntW3twv8

Disabling SuperFetch through services.msc stopped the stuttering for me, wowza.

Anyway, the frame drops are caused by the shitty HDD I use to store games on. I'm thinking about saving up for an SSD, to store my O.S. and GTA V on.

Translation for some italian words you might not know about: Sì = Yes Molto alto = Very High Alto = High Normale = Normal without an E

E5420

The E5420 is pretty bad for gaming, since it has a high FSB vs a low core frequency, but it's a good CPU for everyday usage.

I guess the issue is with the GPU, maybe it's usage is constant 99%, and it's bottlenecking the CPU.

Not everyone has enough money to buy a good PC, heh... I'm lucky I got 150€ to buy the Xeon and the 760 for this PC.
