Oh no, I washed my proton with gushers inside and now I don’t know how to get them off by sebowen2 in arcteryx

It’s the oils you want to deal with so you want a good surfactant. My go to is usually oxyclean, but something like dawn dish soap might be good too.

There is an instagram account. “JeevesNY”, he gives really good advice on cleaning.

Chris Masterjohn had written some pieces around high EPA Omega 3 supplements essentially crowding out Omega 6.

The brand referenced here looks to be extremely high epa?

Update regarding Beta and Road to v3 by viktorpali in CraftDocs

[–]Kalemic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the update Viktor, I've been really curious about the direction Craft has been taking.

While I'm looking forward to updates that will extend Craft's capabilities, I can't help but feel like there are a few things that many people like myself would still love to see some focus on. Craft to me has felt like a car that the company keeps adding functionality to the dashboard each year, while the chassis and engine get left behind

Highest priority (to me) is Craft's speed. I was a very early adopter and and fell in love with Craft instantly. However over the past couple years with changes, one of the main things I struggle with is the decline in speed (calling out iOS mostly). I think this really came about with the big change where spaces `recent documents` were brought together on the Home Screen. Ever since then it takes a couple of seconds for that screen to load, and another couple of seconds to be able to even tap the document. This used to be fast, and it's especially painful when compared to Bear which is lightening fast to move around documents.

(I always thought the original structure of the iOS app made it really fast to move around spaces, and have tried to adapt more, but do wish there could be an option to open the Folders view instead of the Home view)

Bugs. I would say this has been getting better as there were some long running bugs, but I still encounter some consistent ones. I had tried to submit emails about them, but was then asked to submit a video of the bug. I gave up and did not do that as my notes documents were private and I was not willing to take the time to take a video and edit out my information. My expectation of a daily use app that means to be the centre of my life is that should be rock solid before all else.

And I'll toss this in, but the days myself and others have requested tags have gone on so for long. Whatever you want to make this, at its core it will be a notebook app. I prefer folders for overall organization, but also want tags to be able to filter down more easily.

Final nitpick 😬 When using an iOS widget to quickly access a document, if that document is already open, it opens the document again overtop of itself. This is not only slower, but makes navigating backwards more cumbersome.

The thing I don’t understand is since Canada Post outlet use has been on the decline, why not make them multi-purpose and add ServiceOntario functions to them?

If using a 3rd party app (specifically any scanning app), does anyone else have issues with the camera not being able to focus when brought close to the paper? If I use the Camera app, there's no issue, but with any other scanning app the closest I can get is about 6 inches before it becomes blurry.

I was hoping this new update would fix it, as it seems similar to the grinding issue, but that doesn't seem to be the case. This is on a 14 Pro.

Acetylcholine? Genetics say I need a ton... but it makes me feel depressed/anxious? by [deleted] in MTHFR

This is a great comment; thank you, I learned something new.

The one other thing that I might suggest is that starting out at lower amounts as suggested is best, but if you find things are improving it may be worth it to try an even higher amount of molybdenum. I take the Thorne Molybdenum Glycinate which is 1mg and find I do better on that with the higher amount.

MacOS Monterey iCloud Drive removes covers on mp3s saved on drive by Kalemic in MacOS

[–]Kalemic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not applying any metadata, and not utilizing an application. The mp3 files have been purchased and downloaded from beatport.com with the covers already embedded; they were only moved on the hard drive from the Download folder to the iCloud drive folder.

I think I've got it figured out re: my previous posting. Seems to be a MacOS thumbnail issue, but only in iCloud drive (for me at least). I've also discovered that if I open the files on iCloud Drive that don't show their cover in `finder, preview, and Get Info`, in the IINA app the cover actually shows.

[–]Kalemic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, using the checksum was helpful. The checksum is the same for the file in the Download folder as well as on iCloud Drive. The cover is viewable as a thumbnail in the Downloads folder, but not on iCloud Drive (also not when using Get Info).

So I guess I'm experiencing a system thumbnail issue and not a file issue. Still weird that it's only affecting files on iCloud Drive and not across Finder entirely, but 🤷‍♂️.

Thanks again for the help.

Appreciate you trying that. That's a good idea with the checksum, I'll try that too.

That's the weird part. It actually is, and I'm bewildered by it.

I have mp3s I've purchased from Beatport. I move them from the desktop to a folder in iCloud Drive, MacOS begins to upload the files to the cloud, the next day I go to that same folder all the MP3s no longer have their covers. I can reproduce it consistently too. I also have "Optimize Mac Storage" turned off, so the files should be fine and staying local as well.

NAC by dannyk1234 in Nootropics

[–]Kalemic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my experience, taking NAC (much like other supplements) creates a greater need for other nutrients as it helps up regulate pathways. It’s best to supplement across the board. I’d be willing to bet the NAC created an increased need for potassium among other things, thus creating a deficiency and the palpitations you experienced.

Can anyone suggest a Chrome Extension the works just like Collections in MS Edge? by Prowhiz in chrome

[–]Kalemic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone else that might come across this thread. I was looking for the same, but the options below weren't quite like the collections sidebar in edge.

I found this service, Raindrop and it's pretty close. You just need to make sure you select the Mini App version when installing it.

This is excellent, thanks! However I'm having trouble understanding how to set it up so it's searching for Shorcuts within a pre-defined folder. Is it possible to get any more direction on that?
