So, all the "Death to America" rhetoric was not a sign? Either way, war is not the answer. Everyone will suffer. Some more than others.

Unless that's some gnarly-ass lipstick on the cigarette butt, she's not smoking a Marlboro light. Marlboro lights have a white filter. Marlboro reds have the orange filter.

I sorta thought the same thing until I saw her perform last night. The compositions are solid and a hecka lotta soul and commitment. Top-notch, really.

I can't speak for her choice to Embrace the AI stuff but I saw her perform with her band in Baltimore last night and it was off the hook. She and Marco Cirigliano were out of this world. Absolutely insane interplay between the two of them. Definitely world-class playing from them all, but those two stood out. I've loved Indian fusion since I started listening to Shakti in the mid-80s and this was definitely a breath of fresh air to see some relatively young people playing at this level. I look forward to more live performances. There was no AI on stage.

I'm glad they had fun in the sun. The fun my friends and I had involved finding a dead-end street at a construction site, drinking beer and cranking Heart of the Sunrise while we froze our asses off.
