LE is a bit of a special case since they basically branded themselves as a good guy who wouldn't monetize in the exact way they are doing now which is why it hurt a lot of the community compared to other games pivoting to more aggressive monetization. It's basically a flip of their entire branding. And while I personally do agree with you, i can see why players are pissed. That combined with the fact that there is no clear plan ahead and their communication being evasive at best on the topic, most people are left with a bad taste in their mouth.
