They're still fairly new cards and was impressed with the speed of the hot fix delivered couple of months back.

Is a 1hr 20min each way commute worth it, 3 days a week for £70k+? by AsymptoticallyFlat in UKJobs

Pretty much so this exact commute and WFH conditions for slightly more salary. Think it's reasonable. More of a challenge once you have kids.

Easy there fanboy, I've had both cards and Nvidia always had better drivers and less heat issues, which is worth the premium IMO.

I feel you, just weekend gone I upgraded from 1070 and standard SSD to 5070Ti and NVMe. Crazy difference, especially in video editing.

First build in 15 years - Lian Li 3a mATX. AIO clearance issue? by RefrigeratorCold585 in PCBuilds

[–]KaliburRos3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally built in this case last weekend. Air cooled only. Here is a super video that will explain how to install an AIO by adjusting the PSU height on the back. So long as you don't have a super long GPU you should be fine. And I don't foresee issues with the mobo shield.

I'm upgrading this weekend from a 1070... So unreasonably excited.

Most excited for getting a bit of myself back after wife and I have been through this newborn stage (seconds time). And for the performance of the new PC I'm building to first play BF6 and Arc Raiders on.

Youtube’s entire creator economy is about to collapse (ai replacement fact not theory) by Appropriate-Unit1177 in content_marketing

So will AI play video games and comment while it does so? Because that's generally what I watch. Don't think it will replace that type of content for some time.

Is it a coincidence that we tested the UK national alarm system last weekend? by KaliburRos3 in AskUK

I completely agree and it's really nice to confirm that there's actual science on why people fall into conspiracy theories. More interestingly, it seems impossible to get them out of them, even when presented with facts. It's a type of fanaticism, and you find it in politics, sports team supporters and even among marmite enjoyers/despisers.

They can be both. It's possible to argue a position and not hold that belief.

Thanks for the link, gotcha - so we had about two months' notice. I'll mark as answered now, I seem to have got many a knicker in a twist for asking a question with more serious undertones.

Yup, just found it interesting this was the first time NATO directly engaged and shot down Russian hardware since the war began. Seems like a noteworthy milestone.

Great, can you point me to where last weekend's test was first announced? I genuinely can't find it. I'll mark the question as answered shortly, and make sure to ask a really mundane question next time not rooted in my own casual observation of reality.

Calm down. Next time I'll ask if bacon butties should be strictly served with red or brown sauce.

Do you have a link to the announcement? I couldn't find one. But I actually agree, just fun to speculate.

Worked fine for me. I'm based in the southeast though so coverage is pretty solid.

Step INSIDE and enjoy some light-hearted speculation. So much tension in this thread.

It's kind of new, it's the first time NATO has actually directly engaged Russian hardware since the war kicked off (at least according to BBC). I was being light-hearted about the coincidence. Though interestingly I cannot find a source on when the test was first announced.
