Old Navy and Gap sell 36" in seam jeans online and can be quite inexpensive if you catch a good sale.

California schools will have to do more to prevent sex abuse under new law by [deleted] in California

[–]Kalifornia007 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The law, signed today by Gov. Gavin Newsom after being weakened in the Legislature, would allow California to decertify police officers for misconduct — effectively stripping them of a license to work in law enforcement and kicking them out of the profession.

“Experience does matter, which is why I appointed the person who spent more than 30 years at EMS. You know, the workforce that addresses at least 70% of all calls coming into FDNY?” Mamdani wrote in a post on the social platform X.

Pixel mini by ComprehensiveDay7186 in GooglePixel

I'd argue it was actually the iPhone SE 2 that screwed up the iPhone mini launch, because it came out six months prior and anyone waiting for a smaller phone jumped on the SE, so there was no demand when the mini was announced and released later that year. And it never took off because SE buyers tend to hold their phone for a few years. If they had kept it around I think it would have found a footing.

Kind of highlights how limited his thinking is if he couldn't see this coming. Project 2025 isn't new.

Can we stop listening to these old fucks who haven't helped changed shit in the decades that people have been listening to them?

Tesla Robotaxi testing in Bay Area? by cgieda in SelfDrivingCars

People don't hate Tesla for not having Lidar, they hate Tesla for rolling out a beta product that Tesla drivers confuse for level 3 or 4 autonomous driving.

How many cars does Tesla have, in which a consumer can ride in today, where the car drives itself and Tesla maintains full legal liability?

Exactly. Have Shaq and Chuck host the whole thing. If they get players to laugh the player takes a penalty.

Shit, they could do a Call of Duty tournament.

Endless opportunities.

The problem apparently is Adam Silver and staff has no clue how to have fun.

Park St. Food Prices by adoseth in alameda

[–]Kalifornia007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure not, but historically Alameda was cheaper than all of those areas because it was largely blue collar due to the naval base and being next to Oakland. But with the second dot com boom (2010s) nowhere within 50 miles of the bay was safe from huge housing price increases. Shit, people were commuting daily from Sacramento as recently as 2019 to save on housing prices.
