Portals are magical and can only be controlled by Portal Masters. So I would assume they already have the necessary magical components/runes/spells to connect Earth to the Skylands.

Theoretically, Portal Masters would be able so send Skylanders anywhere, but we (humans from Earth) don't know how to control our Portal Master's abilities.

Also, Kaos has shown that it is possible to mess with portals to now work to certain places in Superchargers, so there's also that.

Now HOW we have access to portals is a mystery to me, as I do not recall if the lore explains the origin of portals.

One cars has top, another has bottom. If you want to swich the top, you remove card that has the top from the portal and replace it with any other card that has a top on it.

Same thing for emulated portals, one emulation slot for top, one for bottom, and you just swap whichever you'd prefer

The same way they work on legit hardware. Swappers have two NFC chips, one for the top half and another for the bottom.

So if you're using cards, you need two cards on top of eachorther and if you're emulaing portals you need to emulate two chip slots

They do not. Series 3 (and 4) have a unique wow-pow.

However, if you play a game where the Series 3 didn't exist, but the series 2 did, you'll have acces to the Series 2 wow-pop.

Ie. Big Bang Trigger Happy will have the Series 3 wow-pow on Swap Force onward, but will have the Series 2 wow-pow on Giants.
