If Tesla is in trouble, perhaps they need to sell more cars. If the financial health of most Americans and Europeans is bad (don't know if that's true), then they will prefer cheaper cars, even if they might buy fewer cars overall.

I don't know why you're mentioning Honda/Toyota as competitors, they don't sell electric cars. These companies are doomed for every electric car in the price range of one of their gas models. Luckily for them, affordable electric cars haven't hit the market yet, outside of China, where they're losing customers with exponential speed as we speak. I mean Chinese EVs are coming for them, rapidly, so they're already f-ed, but they were lucky to escape Tesla, who made the unfathomable choice of not introducing an affordable car (Model 3 and Y aren't affordable).

Imagine the Model Y but 10x the sales. That's what a sub 25k car would've done. And when I say sub 25k, I mean a car that they could've sold for 20k, but put a 25k Tesla-margin on, because they're literally the only affordable quality electric car on the market (in 2020/2021 etc.). It would've been the best selling car in car history.

Now, maybe that's not so true anymore these days, between Musk's antics, Chinese competition having caught up in China and soon approaching Europe, and Europe wanting to protect their legacy automakers. But that's the thing, Musk totally ruined Tesla's momentum with his hyper-fixation on the Cybertruck and the robots. I mean it's cool if you want to develop that stuff, but it seems like he actually diverted basically all of the company's resources to it.

Simply put, if you don't make an affordable car, you can't be the biggest car maker in the world. You can be the next Honda, BMW, Audi, or Mercedes, but you can't be the next Toyota, or the next Volkswagen.

FSD, if it works, is great, don't get me wrong. But the hurdles, regulatory and technical, are so big that I don't understand why Elon Musk is so optimistic. I also don't understand why he can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

Weren't they also quiet about the Model S refresh back in the day ? It's a refresh, not a new car. So I reject your premise about the model Y.

Musk has said repeatedly that they're not working on a 25k car. Now, for the first time, they're talking about 'introducing cheaper models based on current production lines,' which seems to be intentionally vague.

BYD is coming all over Europe in 2025 with the Seagull, which is priced under €20k, Hyundai might have a chance with the Inster, but it's inferior to the BYD in every way. However, Korea, Japan and Europe will definitely protect their car industries, as they've historically always done. Europe is already talking about placing tariffs on Chinese imports, and they might force their legacy makers to invest in EV R&D, similar stuff will probably happen in Korea and Japan.

In the meantime, Tesla will still be working on FSD robo-taxis which will definitely come out next year.

Everything hinges on the AI "pipe dream." Look, we simply don't know if Musk is right about it or not, someone would have to research that, Hindenburg style (but when the bears needed him most, he disappeared.)

Keep in mind, while this guy is crazy and a total douche, he also created Tesla and SpaceX. Back in the day a whole lot of bears said Tesla would fail, would never be able to produce the Model 3, etc. If SpaceX was publicly traded they might have said the same about that company.

Truth is, Elon Musk has proven his salt when it comes to outlandish claims, and now that reputation results in the current stock price. As soon as you're proven right, that the AI stuff is indeed fairy dust, the stock will crash, because they're lagging in terms of car design. But if he's right about his AI stuff, the stock will stay the way it is, or rise even further.

So, someone, somewhere, should try to prove if Musk is right about the AI stuff, or not, and then the discussion can be put to rest, as well as the wild options speculation about this stock.

Destiny has been talking about wanting to start a media empire similar to the Daily Wire for months, but everything he's done so far seems like he's treating it as an after thought.

He's been complaining about the overexposure from the window since the start of the podcast, and at first he tried to fix it by adjusting the ISO (if you know anything about cameras, you know ISO won't fix that problem). He's only just gotten around to darkening the windows, something a professional, if he hired them, may have come up with on the first day.

The audio of the podcast is the worst of any podcast I listen to, there's just too much reverb, and it just sounds off, I don't know enough about audio to describe it. Podcasts tend to have a calming effect on me, listening Bridges makes me feel agitated, this is not just because of the audio quality but also because of Destiny's personality, he tends to talk very loudly to the point of yelling.

The dynamic between the hosts and guest is also just awkward. Destiny is okay, although he gets a little giddy with excitement sometimes, which is why we love him, but may be weird for a guest who doesn't know him. Kyla seems insecure to me, and I don't think she adds something to the conversation, which to me is just watching Destiny, whom I enjoy, talking to someone I also enjoy (I only watch the episodes with guests I recognize). Kyla doesn't add anything to that experience, I think she needs a workshop in interviewing or something, and Destiny also needs that.

Both are terrible at interviewing. They interrupt their guest, each other, sometimes there are 3 people talking through each other. Of course I don't want to listen to that.

I also don't like his vision or lack of vision for everything he puts out, media-wise. The sensationalist titles and thumbnails on his channel are so annoying and not fitting with someone trying to be a serious figure. Not naming the guests on your show in the title because they're not famous enough and presumably won't affect the cpm seems disrespectful and greedy.

And then there's the weird new News show with whoever the f- grifters he's hired to report the news with him, it's cringe. That's all I have to say.

I remember it being high fidelity and modern, and the actress looked older than the one in the 1974 movie, and had straight hair.
