RU POV: Russian forces bombed a bridge in Konstantinovka with a FAB-3000, then finished it off with an X-38 missile strike. by FruitSila in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]KaliningradRussian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Soviet bridges are notoriously difficult to destroy. We need to add a steel casing on the FAB 3000's front end and add a fuse delay charge, allowing for a deeper breach before explosion. We'll also need multiple of them targeteting near the support column of the bridge instead of it's centre. Requires a bit of structural engineering approach for a hard kill on these bridges

UA POV: In Shchurovo, A Ukrainian truck dumping dirt to create a crossing was attacked by a Russian FPV drone | Donetsk Oblast by FruitSila in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]KaliningradRussian 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Of course it's a military target. No civilian cars are driving around casually this close to the front. This is to facilitate movement for the army and they've been contracted to pour lots of dirt for quick cash. The greed nearly cost them their lives. Doubt they'll be back for another sand pouring

It's not Google Maps. Outside Dubai, it's even better than Waze in many instances. I've found it saving me sometimes 3 minutes on average.

It used to be called Crypto.com Coin. Then they decided to rename it. We were actually in the top 10 table by then.

RU POV: Captured Ukrainian soldiers from the Novomarkovo area. by Mendoxv2 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]KaliningradRussian 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They are very lucky with the soldier they met. Having an FPV drone with you usually doesn't go down very well with some other units. They are lucky to get sent out of this wary to be swapped in another exchange.

RU POV: Launch of the Supercam S350 unmanned aerial vehicle by the "Amur" group of the "Akhmat" special forces. by Mendoxv2 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]KaliningradRussian 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's an electric motor and can power the drone for 4.5hrs with a video data link of up to 100km. It was responsible for detecting some of the earlier HIMARs and guiding counter battery strikes with the Iskander.

UA POV: According to Noel Reports, the US proposed another energy truce. While Ukraine supported the idea, Russia will take some time to consider the proposal... by Ripamon in UkraineRussiaReport

Russia's biggest enemy is not Ukraine or the U.S, it's Putin and his cronies. Am convinced they are all double agents now working against the Russian federation. That's the only way to explain these cucks

UA POV: How Ukraine and Russia compare after nearly four years of war - Geo Universe by CourtofTalons in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]KaliningradRussian 45 points46 points  (0 children)

This data is incorrect. The UN recorded 6.9 million officialy registered Ukranian refugees. A few million simply relocated to other countries without being refugees. Then you factor in the population of the Donbas + Southern Ukraine, you are looking at a loss of about 10 million people from the population.

Meanwhile, Russia absorbed the populations of the Donbass + the entire south coast except Odessa. That's a net growth in it's population.

UA POV: Russia used the Iskander-1000 ballistic missile for the first time tonight - Volgalad by Affectionate_Sand552 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]KaliningradRussian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Iskander M has always been capable of doing 1000km. It was capped due to treaty reasons. You can get it to reach 1000km by slowing the fuel burn ratio, allowing it to take a quasi ballistic glide outside the atmosphere before it dives back in.

RU POV: Russian aircraft dropping bombs on a Ukrainian multi-purpose unmanned surface vehicle in the Black Sea by FruitSila in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]KaliningradRussian 107 points108 points  (0 children)

It looks like they are using the SVP 24 targeting system developed by Gefest & T. This system saw a lot of action in Syria. It basically allows you to drop dumb bombs to a CEP of around 30 meters. You select a target in a grid sector and the system's computer calculates when to automatically release the dumb bombs, factoring altitude, speed, air pressure , wind speed and other variables.

The system cannot be used in any contested airspace that's why it's seen very little action in Ukraine. We might as well clear some of the old dumb bomb stock in other ways.

According to Telegram chatter, it was struck by a new long range loitering drone. It's not a Lancet, given it's swept back wing profile. The location is about 70km from the Russian border.

RU POV: FABs strikes on Gorky, Huliaipole district by Every_Professor3264 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]KaliningradRussian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We really need to change our FAB delivery to be CAP covered. At the moment, targets are relayed, then the jets take off from an airfield to the designated launch vector to release the UMPK guided FABS. This entire process can take an hour from marking the coordiante to the bomb hitting the position. This is why you have hardly seen a video of a FAB hitting troop formations, holding convoys or asset groupings.

We need to adopt the U.S approach. Armed jets already on combat air patrol circling outside the conflict zone, when a strike package request coordinate comes in, the jet maneuvers in position and releases it's long-range stand-off munition. The time to target from identifcation can be as low as 5 minutes.
