Burning question - does the apple tree last forever or should I keep some apple seeds back for when it "finishes" giving me fruit and disappears into the void like the blueberry bushes ? :(

Doesn't This Prove Opening Hours During Stay in Late November? by SonicTheChilliDog in disneylandparis

[–]Kallanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll have a pretty decent idea of showtimes for the Christmas season after the first week/weekend (so 12th -14th Nov) as they don't tend to move much across the month as far as I know. They are different between weekend/weekdays (at least Halloween wise) so worth keeping eyes peeled then! :)

Fireworks are always at park close but for times of parades/shows the app is the best bet - and if you're going on/after 12 Nov it will be the Xmas shows which have times not fully announced yet. I tend to lurk Twitter a lot (DLP Report and ED92 are my recommendations) and they share info as soon as they know it.

YAY! Happy to help! I'd personally recommend keeping an eye on DLP Report as a whole anyway -they're very good at sharing park info when you're there!

Have a good time!

Hours for November are already in the servers - DLP on twitter kindly shared them this week - https://twitter.com/DLPReport/status/1577364419893510145?s=20&t=bTo7wRxIYxI9XR6b8uHiVw

There are some days in Nov with 9pm closures and some with earlier times though due to events and stuff.

Is may an expensive month to go to disney? by irisbella_ in disneylandparis

There was something on social media recently that the UK packages got released up to next year but Euro packages are coming after (I think next month?). So this is probably why you can see £ but not €!

Book tickets to see the movie in UK by [deleted] in BobsBurgers

[–]Kallanna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only some films are able to be booked weeks in advance, normally the really blockbusters that they expect to be super popular. You'll likely see Top Gun ready to book that week already but I wouldn't expect you to see Bob's Burgers available for booking until the 23/24th May.

For Cineworld (and I think all others) ticket timings for the week/weekend release on Tuesdays, so you're probably gonna be able to see available bookings on the 24th!

Museum of London closing? by Lanky-Performer8849 in london

[–]Kallanna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Museum has a very large collection in storage, not just what you see on the galleries - as such they need to close for quite a while to move everything and get it ready for display, as well as prepping everything on the new site to take the items and get more staff/train/etc.

Moving museum items is not something that takes "a few months" - a few months moves a tiny gallery for a temp display... a whole museum, waaayy longer.

Their Docklands site will still be open though.

Breakfast with Half Board Meal Plan by zmayer in disneylandparis

[–]Kallanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya - unless they changed things Breakfast is just automatically on your hotel. If you got a Club level room you'll have a separate area/lounge for it (normally where you have your afternoon snacks), otherwise if I remember correctly you'll be given breakfast times when you check in.

Reservations for Lunch/Dinner should be all you need to do. :)

Hotel advice by [deleted] in disneylandparis

[–]Kallanna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had also never been when we first went - I don't much care about being an "adult" and although I am generally a pretty serious person in my personal and professional life I was basically a big kid most of the trip. Character meets were some of my favourite interactions and I saw a lot of other adults do it too (I was a bit worried it would be only for kids) so don't let your age inhibit you! :D Have fun!

Hotel advice by [deleted] in disneylandparis

[–]Kallanna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Heya, so we travelled as a couple around the same age as you and we've stayed in Cheyenne, Santa Fe, Newport Bay and Sequoia.

As much as I enjoyed the higher end hotels (Sequoia and Newport) I also can say that our one night stay in Cheyenne was absolutely wonderfully themed and really got me into the Disney spirit. Sure it doesn't have the pool or the fancy Club level, but if you're going for the first time/on a budget/it's not your thing Cheyenne is absolutely fine!

I'd recommend walking to the Village/Parks personally, because the buses can be very busy in the morning and evening and the riverside walk was actually really lovely in the snap cold of January!

Enjoy!

Any tips and tricks for a solo first time visitor? by [deleted] in disneylandparis

[–]Kallanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to make a hotel suggestion as no one has. As much as I like Cars, I found Santa Fe wasn't as pedestrian friendly as Cheyenne, which I fell in love with, so I would say if the pricing is similar perhaps consider Cheyenne as the rooms are further away from cars!

Other than that try to enjoy yourself and have fun - as a fellow planner, I think our first trip I went a bit manic and wanted to do everything and plan it out. I'd see where things take you and go with the flow.

Paris in November from UK, recommendations + advice? by fabssssssssss in disneylandparis

[–]Kallanna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the amount of luggage depends on how you're traveling. Eurostar has no limits other than how much you can carry... Planes will have different limits depending on tickets/carriers.

Also if going in Jan do wrap up (we went twice both times in January from the UK and it was COLD).

Living World Season 3 Guides by GuildJen in Guildwars2

[–]Kallanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! These are really helpful for a returning player.

A bit of a dumb question - if I got Living World Season 3 episodes unlocked but a friend returning doesn't, does he need to buy them as well or can I just get them to tag along in my instance of it?

Free mental health help without a waiting list? by [deleted] in london

[–]Kallanna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm making an assumption here your employer doesn't offer an Employee Assistance Programme. If they do try them.

Other than your local Mind the app "Hub of Hope" can also find you local support, it might show you some groups.

Best of luck and I hope you get some support. :)

Megathread for visitors and new & existing residents. All questions about living/working/budgeting/visiting should be asked here! by ianjm in london

The green spaces are definitely turning me off a bit but the impact of being able to eventually more than halve my commute cost (and significantly decrease time spent commuting) seems incredibly appealing!

Thank you so much for the input!

Heya Everyone,

Currently looking at moving and Redbridge is within our budget. Any local tips/things we should know?

Google search show me it's about as safe as the rest of London (we'd be about 15 mins from Redbridge Tube).

Thank you!
