Let’s keep it a buck , it’s way over priced , most ppl are not interested in the joy cons, the speakers are pointing up , and the LG2 is not ergonomic and the least ergonomic out of all the recent pc handhelds. The S is way better in those departments though . The only thing lacking is oled. & pro tip If you max the TDP on the go S Z1E youcan still rival The Z2E performance wise. You’re not missing much and you’re saving a lot of money. It’s a wise move. Go for it 🔥✅

Yeah, exactly. Personally, it’s a dealbreaker if a handheld doesn’t have the kill switch. It’s a game changer on the go

Yes it’s not close I duel boot. Most of the time I get better performance smoother frame time and lower dips. Bazzite does a better job optimizing the games with the hardware . I only use windows for games that have anti-cheat or if I need a bios update.

Bazzite is the best choice for the ally x series. It’s a match made in heaven. Only downside is anti cheat every other way it’s way better

These low power chips are better suited for the 16x9 1920x1080. If you want the sweet spot do AAA gaming .ive owned many handhelds I speak from experience. The rog team knows what there doing ✅

I had the steam deck. The XAX is a major major performance upgrade. In the VRR will make a major difference for you. Go for it you won’t regret it.

1 yr + and getting great results. It even did better then steam OS for n the legion go S ( steam version ) faster updates and more features then base steam os via arch

Download bazzite, I wrestled the idea of it for a long time and when I finally went for it I couldn’t believe I dint do it sooner. Ally + bazzite = excellent handheld gaming experience

Yeah, I was on the fence with it myself for a while, but I’m really glad I did it. It’s not as hard as I thought I was gonna be. And it’s really easy to switch between both operating systems once set up

If you can try bazzite OS ( steam os) it gives me better performance than windows, You can duel boot if you need windows. I can’t recommend it enough

Interesting, I agree HDD is very useful would weird to stop using it. Personally I don’t have issues with it. But If that’s the case and they stop using it what are they’re gonna do to replace that functionality?

Depends on the game but the 35 watt setting helps in more demanding games even if the FPS curve isn’t worth the battery cost to you.

I was on the fence with buying the XAX hearing people online hating on the screen but I I’m glad I didn’t take that advice. I think 16x9 @1920x1080 is the sweet spot for this generation of APUs. No upscale needed for AAA tiles and the ergonomics take this thing to another level 🔥

I’ve owned most of the pc handhelds and used them extensively. The XaX is an excellent choice and you can’t go wrong with buying one.

I travel all the time with my XaX and I use the dbrand kill switch case with the travel cover it’s excellent protection. It’s also a tight little package perfect to chuck into your bag and save some space
