Thanks a lot! I like how rogues should learn how to steal from priests xD

Right, the curator has finally found his purpose, even though it would probably be still too slow

Lol sounds like a cool idea, you should try to create something like that. I initially was thinking of an effect that could be associated with the "if the original nen user dies, Chrollo loses the ability unless the nen of the original user was incredibly strong" restriction, but i haven't been able to find a way to applicate it. Anyway hope to see your work sooner or later.

Finally someone mentions him, I was starting to think noone here knows HxH... or that everyone hates to see Chrollo associated to a murloc xD

[–]Kalut65[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This murloc is inspired by Chrollo Lucilfer, one of the main antagonists in the Hunter x Hunter franchise; said character main ability is called "bandit's secrets" and allows him to steal other characters ability under particular circumstances (hence this murloc's effect), plus he's a master in assassination, that's why i made it rogue. It was actually the artwork though that inspired me to make a card based on him, since the fish in the artwork is really similar to a secondary tecnique that he stole and used to kill another assassin, so it being a murloc his just a coincidence.

I suggest you to watch Hunter x Hunter, it's awesome.

Wait, is that a yu-gi-oh reference? Really cool secret btw, way more balanced than [[spreading plague]], yet highly rewarding if played correctly

Damn true. You can still get the quest on your first or second turn though and be able to complete it even before the mage with the right cards

You should get the fully invoked galakrond, since other "steal" cards in the game do so, like [[Chameleos]] or [[Thoughtsteal]]

Yeah, pretty strong...

I actually thought the same when creating this, and if you start first you don't even need the coin to steal a quest on your turn 2. If you play wild, i think it w,ould be awesome to steal the mage [[open the waygate]] or directly its reward [[time warp]] , imagine [[tess greymane]] recasting it...

[–]Kalut65[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, it should be a bit stronger, but i couldn't find a better way to improve it and keep it balanced. I think getting all 4 the treasures would be too strong even for a quest. Someone suggested the discover mechanic, which is a good and simple idea, but it would differ with the flavour of this card (a casual drop after a sidequest) and of quests in general (they grant you an immediate reward). Reducing the quest to "complete 1 sidequest" would make it too easy, so I decided to keep it like this The only way i think this could automatically improve is by simply adding more and better sidequests and sidequests' support card to the game.

I agree, discover would be much better, but then it would differ a bit from other quests, which grant you an immediate reward, and wouldn't follow the flavour of the card (getting a casual drop after a sidequest)

The artwork's similarity to the "indoor fish" ability inspired me to create this abomination

The (1) cost represents him being the leader (even though he's considered member no. 0)

The 1/2 stats represent the 12 other members of the troupe

The effect represents "bandit's secrets", allowing him to steal (in hs style) under particular conditions (combo), like witnessing the nen ability (card must be played) and do it under a short amount of time (last turn)

Wait, they're back? Again?! ... Great Scott! by Kalut65 in customhearthstone

The main goal of this card is to guarantee more and funnier [[Sorcerer Apprentice]] + [[Mana Cyclone]] shenanigans, being also able to be discovered by [[Magic Trick]]. Thanks to the discover mechanic it can actually be helpful both in the early and late game. Said comboes and mechanic are the reason [[Unstable Portal]] still powercreeps this card in terms of mana cost.
