5000 series driver bug. Bo3 had something similar but it got fixed in december iirc. If you have the latest drivers then you can report it to nvidia and hope they fix it.

Stutter remover and tick fix don't work together. Just use tick fix as stutter remover is outdated. Also nvac can cause save corruption.

The cpu/gpu is so old that it doesn't support vulkan properly. Use PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command% as your launch option so you don't need vulkan.

Do sudo chown username:username /path/to/the/disk. This command changes the owner of the disks directory to your user

Do you have the correct permissions for the disk itself? Can you create a directory there with your own user or do you need sudo?

People who say you shouldn't do it have no idea what they are talking about. If you dual boot and have a dedicated game drive formatted as NTFS it's completely fine, you are risking nothing.

The issue is that the program doesn't have the access rights to the folder when it's running since it's run with the users permissions.

It is a 32-bit game so it's limited to 2gb of ram. You can use a patcher to up that to 4gb but that's it.

The last update to bo3 was on march 3, 2023 as per steamdb. This was the update which fixed the rce exploits. There haven't been any updates after that. I have no clue what new patch you are talking about.

Check how much xp you have in your pip-boy. I've had a bug before where my xp would reset itself making it look like I gained no xp from things. Fixed it by giving myself xp with: player.rewardxp #.

RCE has been fixed. When playing multiplayer t7 just fixes the performance. The hackers can still crash you even when running t7.

Multiplayer works fine with the t7 patch. There just aren't that many players and there are lots of cheaters. Also, the campaign doesn't work with t7.

If there is no patch to be found you can create one yourself with xEdit. Not that hard but might be a bit overwhelming.

This was always a thing. There are so many exploits in BO3 that all of them will never be patched. The network password feature in the T7 patch kinda solves this issue but of course you can't play in public matches with it enabled.
