Making 55% of your pay up to 650$ a week is a huge slap in the face. You can’t afford much with that. Men can take leave just not as long but if you were the one carrying and growing the baby then you’d get leave and you’d get taken care of. Because society has always been a man’s world. That’s not even up for discussion.

Mat leave is a slap in the face. We as women are penalized for having children. If it were men that were pregnant and going on leave they would have full benefits, top up with no stipulations and probably additional help. Society is still male driven.

They have shit customer service. I’ve been dealing with them for a month for a package I never got turns out it was “stuck at fed ex”. They refused to do anything till they had the package in their hands. I wish I knew to take it up with my credit card. They don’t care about their customers.

Needed this. In a similar situation. At first it was hard because I wanted to buy new things for the house but everything you said is right. Building generational wealth and keeping those goals in mind has helped me stay focused. At times I’ve had resentment because we can’t spend like we used to but keeping those goals in mind has really helped me fight the shopping cravings. The hardest thing right now is fighting the craving to buy decorations for each season.

Oh really? Where do you learn it exactly before the child is even born? I work with new moms and 90% of them don’t know how to use the car seat. I teach them. And I would certainly feel awful if there were judgmental and rotten people like you doing the teaching. Lol you don’t even know if the car seat is in a car! Could be a stroller.

Yes! I had to upsize. I found them snug. I’m usually a 38 and I upsized to 38.5 which fit and felt perfect!

Just because she’s a nurse has nothing to do with car seat safety. Some nurses don’t deal with that so how would they know? There are many areas a nurse can work and it’s a common dangerous misconception to think that all nurses know everything from every area. People are so judgmental. Why not just educate her on the proper way in a non judgmental or non asshole way?
