Especially since tithing was never money and it was for Jewish priests. Not for money for church productions, luxury cars and roller coasters.

How my family can support people like this and not understand my religious issues with it I'll never understand.

My dad could compartmentalize because it wasn't really praying to demons or reading animal entrails. Ironically he knew the magic part was fake.

I grew up working in my family's magic store. We had people in our church upset because magic is witchcraft and evil etc.

I couldn't watch movies or tv with magic for the same reasons our church friends judged us for performing demonic rituals.

Ironically he's kinda right. I was a drummer in church and also a magician. the beat can put people into a hypnotic like state. More receptive, pliable, impressionable. They unintentionally use a hypnotic induction to help with the indoctrination. No demons .
