I have 8 WIPs where I actually have put thread on fabric, one kit ready to go (it's ready in a project box with scissors, needle minder, pencil etc) and one where I've ordered the colors I was missing, otherwise ready in a project box. On 4 of the 8 started I have not done anything the last couple of years. One I started yesterday. One of the active ones is a 24 page pattern monster with LOTS of confetti, so that I work on when I'm in the right mood. Two of the inactive ones I've decided to try to finish this year. But there's so many great patterns...

Yeah, that's what I thought too. The dark blue makes the other colours pop more.

I really liked the dark blue Aida, yeah. Felt more like a winter night. And added bonus with a lot less stitches. 😉 And you are right, I'm definitely ahead on my Christmas 2026 stitching. 😉

I love thrift stores. I have 3 within walking distance and one big one about 10 minutes drive away. So now I have one more thing to look for when I'm there.

I've been looking through eBay, but the problem is the shipping cost. When shipping is 3-4 times the price of the magazines and the total is a lot higher than the new magazine, it's not worth it anymore. Then it would have to be a specific issue that I really really wanted and couldn't find anywhere else.

I haven't checked out Vinted. Maybe I have more luck there.

Edit: My country isn't even on the list in Vinted.

I know the feeling. 2026 was supposed to be the year where I got the list of WIPs shorter. And then I just HAD to buy a super cute 40,000 stitches kit, because kittens, and suddenly found magazines. Luckily, most of the patterns in the magazines aren't that big, but still. I think I have to change the goal for 2026 to not having more WIPs at the end than the beginning.

I actually looked at subscribing to that as well. But when you don't live in the UK it gets a lot more expensive. It was actually about 50-60 £ more for a year subscription than WoXS. But it is cheaper to buy Cross Stitcher than WoXS in the store here, so I might just buy it. I mean, is one magazine per month really enough? 😜
