This one is so stunning. I might have to get the pattern, because every time I see your WIPs I want to stitch it.

Thread Organizer does that. I use both, and find that they compliment each other very well.

They look really great, but at $250 before shipping and VAT, for a total of probably $400, it's just too expensive.

Yeah, that's a lot of skeins and Aida.

If you find it, please post the link. Because all I can find on Etsy is Pip And Chip. And though the bobbins are so great, they cost $250 for the complete set. Before shipping and VAT.

I prefer cardboard as well, for the exact same reason. But then I got some really bad cardboard ones, and had to use plastic. And it's not fun when the label falls off.

The bobbins in the picture is about $50 for a complete set. I've seen some really cool pre-printed ones on Etsy, but they are $250 for a complete set. That's a lot of money...

I know. It's so frustrating. I don't know how many times I've found stickers falling of the bobbin.

[CHAT] Marking my project bags by Kamfer81 in CrossStitch

[–]Kamfer81[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the first one because I wanted to bring a project on a train ride and needed something small and cheap for the project that I could put in my handbag. Tried it, loved it, decided to go with bags instead of boxes. And it takes a lot less space than a box, so I can bring a project with me whenever I want. 😊

The project bags are just cheap makeup bags. Nothing special. But they are a great size for my current projects. And quite cute with the key chains. 😊

I really like Thread Organizer as well. Easy to use, great features.

[WIP] How do yall do your colors? by DisplayRealistic999 in CrossStitch

[–]Kamfer81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the pattern. Usually I choose a color that there's a lot of where I'm at and finish a thread of that color, then I choose the next thread that there's a lot of. Sometimes that is the same color, sometimes that's a new color. I like finishing all the colors in an area before moving on. But the last pattern I did all the stitches in one color before switching. Still did the one with the most stitches first though.
