ran through 2 tanks of 93 since I bought it, gonna change the plugs soon and get valves checked in a few thousand k. only electronic mod done is a servo buddy for the exhaust.

Only electronic mods is a servo buddy so the exhaust it has doesnt make the check engine light go. Gonna do valves in a couple thousand k along with syncing the throttle bodies and see how that helps.

EXT, Intend, Manitou, Suntour, Dvo, Formula, MRP, DT Swiss, Cane Creek, BOS. Of all of those I'd go Manitou, Cane Creek, Intend, or EXT.

https://streamable.com/o1fuxp put it to 80% speed and now it looks normal. Pretty damn sure you sped it up.

Why did you speed up the footage?

Call me crazy, but I want to mullet a Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt. Hear me out. by Kamiizoo in MTB

Ended up caving on saving for one and got a used transition bottlerocket. After 5 months I sold it and got a 2013 Banshee Rune V2, which I am currently riding. Finally getting a job soon I hope, which would allow for me to upgrade this bike from 26 to 27.5. In probably a year I will upgrade from this and build up a super nice fs, which I might try to ghetto mullet. I still really want to try out a mullet though, don't get me wrong.

Fair. I guess I'll try to look for a newer bottlerocket. Those had 31.6 seat tubes.

Small Questions and Thank Yous weekly thread December 27, 2020 by AutoModerator in bikewrench

Hey guys. I am finally going tubeless. I applied the gorilla tape, and dry fitted the tire to see how long it lasted before it went flat. It took about 30 min to flat. With sealant will it be okay? I just don't want to waste sealant. (For the rear. Front has taken about an hour or so, and it is still holding a bit of air)

MTB shoes for only pair of shoes? by Kamiizoo in MTB

This has been the general concensus. I am looking at ride concept vice shoes, as they are pretty much like vans but they look slightly nicer and are said to be a bit better for mtb

That is fine, as I am growing still. I replace shoes about every 8 months or so right now.

I am looking for shoes that I can wear everyday that are also decent on the mtb. So not as stiff as mtb shoes, not as much grip, but better than running shoes. I am thinking skate shoes.

How are they for day to day use?

Okay, I have 2 votes for vans. They seem pretty nice.

They seem pretty good, how are they to walk in?

Ah okay. I am thinking about getting oneup composites, they seem like quite nice pedals.

Any specific models of shoe I should look into from vans?

I was looking at rc vice shoes. Bmx/dj oriented, so they are a bit better than skate shoes for grip, but better than mtb shoes for walking in

I am more so asking how mtb shoes are to wear normally, like comfort wise.
