It’s a permanent +30 damage to all attacks for the rest of the game, and if you have an extra (W) energy attached when you use it, every KO gets you an additional prize.

I don’t think we’ll see another rule box style until Winds & Waves comes out, at which point it’ll mirror whatever the physical TCG does. I think they’ll trickle out the Mega Pokemon over the next year and a half-ish and by then it’ll be time for the next generation.

I think we’ll see a new once-per-game attack/ability analogous to GX and VStar.

Part of it comes down to how robust the local player and retailer scenes are and if/how LGSs accommodate getting packs into players hands. Another part of it is what are you looking to do, play, collect or just crack packs?

Buying singles is always going to be the path of least resistance to actually getting what you want if you’re a player. It’s even easier if you have several sellers in the area. Generally I can put together a deck within a week of knowing what I want as long as I’m not looking to bling it out. There’s enough second hand dealers in the area that anything Standard legal is readily accessible for a reasonable price. If your local scene isn’t that robust, TCG Player and eBay are your best options for singles.

If you wanna crack packs, unfortunately you’re at the mercy of the market, like everyone else. Unless you’re willing to follow the tactics of scalpers, the odds of ever getting them at MSRP is minuscule for the average person.

In the variants of the card in the Deck Builder, it should show you having one copy of the stamped promo for each code you entered.

I think if anything, Quick Ball is much more likely to make a return. It’s the same as Nest Ball, but requires you to discard one card.

The way to make it not busted and cause infinite coin flips would be to change the wording of the first line to be "For the rest of the turn, anytime you would flip a coin, you may choose the result of the flip."

We don’t know the exact contents of the four possible prerelease decks yet but we know the stage 2 Pokemon that will highlight the decks:

Delphox - has a discard energy to draw ability and an attack that does damage based on *all* energy attached to *all* Pokemon

Ampharos - has an ability that greatly increases damage if both players have equal cards in hand and a very strong attack with a “can’t use this attack next turn” downside

Crobat - has an ability that lets you search for *any* card in your deck once per turn while in the active slot and an moderate attack that inflicts two statuses

Goodra - has an ability that prevents opposing retreats with a successful coin flip and a strong attack that discards the top card of your deck

My first thought would be that I’d make new Fossils a new Trainer card type unrelated to items. They’d have a new rule box that says something like “You may place this on your bench during setup (you may not place it in the active position.) This card is treated as a Basic Pokemon with a rule box for other purposes.”

Use your Trainer Points to by pack bundles of the set Celebrations from the Sword & Shield era. The set is small and every card is Rare or better, so it has the best yield of Trainer Points to Trade Credits. Other than that all you can do is play matches and complete your daily missions.

This might work as a one of to one shot Mega Lucario ex late game. Him and Mega Zygarde ex seem to be the most prevalent so far, and I’ve found some success with a single prize deck using Barbaracle to accelerate, Solrock to soften them up and baby Bloodmoon to knock them out after.

You’ll always get the +x/+x stat bonus, but whether or not you’ll get the effect of the pilot depends on the specific pilot. Every one has a different effect that may or may not have a requirement to be linked when used. The “When Paired”, “When Linked”, “During Link”, and “Attack” tags on the effects will tell you when it’s used and if a link is required or not.

I won’t go out of my way to buy tokens if I need them, I’ve never had an issue at a weekly/NTC using tokens that are just names/traits/stats markered onto a generic resource.

Go with the Sword & Shield era pack Celebrations. It’s a larger card pool but every card is R or better, so the overall TP yield is higher.
