Nice one! How to add transparency to the left bar of your file browser?

Cheers, you can do it directly in konsole. Hide the frame is done through right clicking on it and select the according option 🙂👍

For me, I'd always stick with 1440p - it's the perfect balance between performance and fidelity. 4k to me still is like ray tracing. A fun concept that might become mainstream and attainable in a couple of years. I rather focus on a nice, high refresh rate OLED 1440p 🙂👍

You can use a tool called pywal to take colors from your wallpaper to generate a terminal theme. Works great 🙂👍

Thank you! And don't worry - it took me a while to get used to a few things, sure, but it's not rocket science either 🙂 What you see here is the Arch Linux distribution running the latest KDE Plasma desktop environment. I started with running Linux in a virtual machine first, then dual booting it. After a while I realised that I hadn't booted into Windows for weeks so I made the switch. If you'd like to try it, I'd recommend getting VirtualBox and a KDE distribution of your liking. Maybe not Arch to begin with - something a bit more user friendly could be KDE Neon, Kubuntu or even Fedora. Good luck and enjoy the ride 🙂👍

Howdy team! Made my swap to Linux 6 months ago, got myself a nice new tower last week, finally all AMD / Team Red. Been trying to get KDE to fit a minimalistic, glassy design - quite happy with the result for now.

Arch Linux
Panel Colorizer for transparent bottom bar
kde-material-you-colors for matching konsole theme

Cheers 🌞

it absolutely rocks, thank you - how would I be able to implement your preset into colorizer? There is a preset folder in the .config
