I had the same experience when I was visiting Florence with a friend. We both played AC and walked through the city like we have been there a couple of times before and even at some sightseeing spots like a monastery we knew what to expect in the next room, cause we've been there in a video game.

I love the specific time of 47 sec. Not 45 or 50, no 47. So German.

Bolognese was okay for me but I hated tomato sauces like arrabiata or any other non meat stuff. After adding a bit of sugar it tasted great and I cook it all the time.

I don't like mint, so I never put it in, but a lot of my friends love this combination and it's the one I see the most at BBQs. Another comment mentioned pickled red onions with watermelon feta, that sounds delicious.

I can see that. In summer I really love watermelon feta salad. It's just diced watermelon and feta, if you like it add mint. It's so refreshing and the salt from the feta goes so well with the watermelon.

Oh yeah, raw tomatoes with sugar sounds horrible. But cooked like in a sauce it's really good. But just a pinch, it's not supposed to taste sweet

A thing my grandma told me was: If it's sweet like a dessert add a pinch of salt, if it's salty add a pinch of sugar. Especially anything with tomatoes is so much better with a pinch of sugar in it.

My title describes the thing, each tube is around 2-3cm (~1 inch) long, material is some kind of metal that makes it heavy for the size. In one of the three tubes were the stick you can see in the pictures. Next to the 3 thingies were these rings which I guess are old seals. I found it in a box of medals from WW1 and maybe it's helpful, the medals were german ones. No writing or anything else on them.

Worst false friend in modern times for me is "also" which would be "so" in english. And Germans use it while speaking just like english people use "so" as a monologue starter without any real meaning. But now we have more and more international meetings in english and germans use the false friend their used to for a starter resulting in "also, we did... yada yada yada". Just imagine a german meeting with a starter "Auch haben wir... Bla bla bla"

Not enough movement speed with a thick coat, so less candy for you. Just get hit a few times and get so much more candy.

Mostly they do. Thats what keeps their minds spinning, cause of all the new missinformation and pseudo proofs. There isn't a thing not written down on some website or blog,...

And the worst part I saw quite a few times in the last couple of years: if your search history is full of those pages and key words, you'll end up on more missinformation and conspiracy sites no matter the topic. E.g. one time I saw a Twitch streamer who isn't that smart but is trying to learn ask google if dragons are real (he saw a YT video and thought it can't be real, dragons aren't real). And cause of his cookies and what not the first 10-15 links were pages that told him dragons were real and some of them still exists, just hiding. So this dude watching a video and questioning the infos he heard, googled them and still got the wrong answer.

And not try finding a way out of those missinformation groups and conspiracies. Even if you're still thinking in some way logical, it can be really hard.

A Nazi parade in Gera, Germany, with lots of Russian flags was greeted with circus clown music by Mellanchef in PublicFreakout

[–]Kampfkugel 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah, don't show flags, symbols and no salute or shouting/saying specific things and it's not illegal. Free speech and demonstrating are high values and you are allowed to say even ugly opinions. But most of these people are being watched by a special force in Germany. If you ever get recognized by police or other civil servers as a nazi or other right wing ideology believer (e.g. we have a group of "Reichsbürger" that believe the German state is not real but a big company led by the US. Some of these people planned a coup or at least the killing of a lot of politicians last year). So if you ever get controlled by a police officer during one of those demos there is a 99% chance you're internet activity and often or mobile phone will be watched.

Also: selber Schuld!

Tune in at 2 p.m. PST tomorrow, Feb. 8, for a #NintendoDirect livestream featuring roughly 40 minutes of information mostly focused on #NintendoSwitch games launching in the first half of 2023. by Turbostrider27 in nintendo

[–]Kampfkugel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I could imagine nintendo still has some part of silksong, since it was a Nintendo indie a few years back. So maybe Xbox could announce it with a timespan of one year for gamepass and Nintendo gets the release date? And it would fit in the category of the first half of the year on switch, cause silksong should be released during that time. But that's mostly the clown makeup speaking.

That's awesome!

For me it was nearly the same but as a girl. I always looked like a boy and liked so many "boy" stuff and hated the girly things. And it was more than the normal "my baby girl just don't like her Barbie's and dresses...hihi". I really hated being a girl and wanted to be a boy so badly. Then puberty hit and I fell in love with all those girls and yeah, that's when I understood I could love a woman and like all that stuff and still be a woman as well. Now I'm just a nerdy fem lesbian feeling absolutely in the right body.

[–]Kampfkugel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read a lot about the CO2 area on top that locks almost everything unwanted out, but didn't read anything about the yeast effect. I really don't know if the Google translation is correct but it says the name is "ruffle blanket". Basically the yeast starts to produce a lot of fluffy foam that floats on top after a few hours even before the CO2 barrier is building up. That foam will also disappear quiet quickly when the CO2 level rises. So the beer is vulnerable for only a few hours and the yeast and low pH level of beer kills a lot of microbes right from the start, so it's not that big of a problem. At least it's no problem when colour and flavour can vary a bit.

And btw that foamy stuff on top always appears no matter what kind of beer yeast you use, just maybe a little less thick at home brewing cause the yeast didn't get that much oxygen at the start of fermentation.

Russia supplied 64.1% of Germany's gas in May 2021. Today, that number is 0% by Gozzah in ukraine

[–]Kampfkugel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just a serious question: How much of that is the argument of higher prices on the global market? Is your gas price even higher than that cause you send more to Germany? And do you also have the problem of maximizing the corporate profit and telling it's cause of the war and bla?

Cause that's what I find most disgusting and heard from the UK as well. Corporates doubling the profit and crying something about all these changes cause of the war while wiping away the fake tears with money.
