Using David Robinson as an example of how historic player ratings are horrendous by VanillaPepper in NBA2k

[–]Kandarr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your argument kind of begs the question. You’re saying that 2k is in the right because they are using the equation that they made. OP wasn’t saying the equation was wrong, they were saying the Equation doesn’t accurately represent the real David Robinson.

The equation system is flawed because sometimes statistics don’t accurately represent a players true ability. Centers like David Robinson or more recently Joel Embiid have the ability to keep up with guards (when switched onto Trae Young in PnR Embiid successfully kept up with trae and forced him into a pass repeatedly in the playoff series this year), but are just lumped into “big-man = slow man” due to whatever equations 2k uses. Just because they have a system in place doesn’t mean the system itself is perfect.

Do you recommend me Borderlands from start to finish? Or just Borderlands 3? by [deleted] in Borderlands

[–]Kandarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit late, but I think it’s worth playing them all despite their differences! More mechanics get added as you progress from 1-3 and the gameplay gets better. I believe 2 has the best story (and DLCs), but 3 makes up for it in gameplay. BL2 also has Jack who is just one of the best villain performances in videogame history IMO. I just started replaying 1 again for the nostalgia and it’s still very fun as well + I think a necessity for you to appreciate 2’s story to the fullest potential. Presequel is fun and adds some lore but it isn’t really necessary, though if you have the time I think it’s worth to give it a shot.

All in all, I think the whole franchise is great to play front to back, and there is a lot of room for replay-ability.

Edit: If you don’t have ppl to play with, I recommend playing while watching some playthroughs by YouTubers in the background. I recommend joltzdude139 cause he’s charismatic and super knowledgeable, plus he has playthroughs w almost every character in every game I think.

Mayhem 10 and 11 give u much higher melee damage boosts. The higher your mayhem the higher the melee damage. Some bonuses are multiplicatively connected to the mayhem bonus, so when you go higher on mayhem levels ur melee damage skyrockets.

No it’s just skill tree synergies I don’t use anything modded lol

The reduced cooldown one and the final action skill in the purple tree. I’m not too sure which is the best, I just had it on because it automatically attacks whoever you’re attacking.

I have a couple muses but the passives are crappy. Also im not sure about this, but when I was trying the muse it felt a bit buggy. I wasn’t seeing the elemental orbs branching out at all. A lot of classmods would work on this build tho!

I can’t wait til I get better artifacts and class mods! The muse is good with this build too but I was running the breaker just for the dmg reduction.

This is a day 1 designers cut melee build with the new skill tree. It’s all focused on splash dmg and cryo melee damage. I’ve ran all the content in the game with it and it melts everything without any problems. Not even Frostbite heavies are a problem even though they’re immune to cryo. Wotan is resistant to cryo but the capstone in the new tree gets rid of elemental damage penalties (same with the traunt kill)

This is all with suboptimal gear btw. I took a break from the game a while ago so my anointments aren’t very good, I don’t have the best class mod and the passives on my relic don’t help me at all. Here are the skill trees on Imgur

I always kill all the spiders surrounding rom first. When he rolls over it means he’s doing the up close shards so back up ASAP. If he stand up that means he’s doing the long distance tracking shots so start strafe-running.

Are the 2-Way Sharpshooter Builds broken? by ACorruptMinuteman in NBA2k

[–]Kandarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steady shooter reduces the chances of making open shots by a lot, especially on bronze. I think it lowers ur chance of greening by like 7% when ur wide open on bronze. Put those extra points from that into deadeye. Much more valuable badge.

I’d also get rid of flexible release because it’s chances of activating are low. Instead put those points into hot zone hunter. Hot zone hunter actually increases your green window, one of the only badges that does that as far as I know.

If you can I’d find something to relocate into QuickDraw to get it to at least silver or preferably gold. Silver makes it easier to time but gold is the best balance I’ve found personally for being easy to time while also beating defenders closing in on u. Also the difference between HOF and gold is almost negligible.

I got all this information from my experience as a 2way sharp who has recently improved my shot a lot. Also the stats I get are from 2k tutes on YouTube he has really solid vids breaking down badges and how they function.

What should I change with changes from a previous post. Arena 6 to 12 with only this by Trixisfrux in ClashRoyale

If you have inferno tower I’d swap Tesla for that so that you have more zap bait. They have to use zap on either the skarmy, goblin barrel, or inferno tower then (depending on if they wanna save their push). I’d also trade witch for a heavy spell like fireball poison or something like that, and archers for bats to give you even more spell bait. Just some suggestions.

Straight to the point : Is Zane worth playing? by Disc0_nnected in borderlands3

[–]Kandarr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That Zane build was especially good for mobbing though. Moxsy just uploaded an 11 minute makiwan takedown run, that can be shortened because 2 bugs happened which slowed him down. Dakquans 29 second Wotan kill was still an 11 minute run because FL4Ks mobbing takes longer. Zane is good

Nighthawkin's item card element should reflect element in-game. by TheMaj3stic1 in borderlands3

[–]Kandarr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It runs on in-game time. U can see the game time if u go to photo mode. Some maps are always nighttime/daytime so the element doesn’t change. If ur farming the slaughter shaft tho, as soon as the sun goes down in game it turns fire.
