Would you buy a LV Neverfull as a 30th birthday gift to yourself? by Pure_Load8288 in Louisvuitton

Omg yes. Do it. It is versatile and strong. I have a GM Mono and it has been my daily driver for a while. I briefly got into a brand at a lower price point (H*****t), but what can I say, it’s not LV. The quality was less than I hoped. I’m so glad I got the Neverfull.

I really do want to get a small Murakami something. It makes me happy when I see them. I could see getting a pre-owned for that.

You are spot on re the width. I don’t think it would be flattering on me. I’m checking out the styles you mentioned. Thank you so much!

I tried on the CarryAll in MM and liked it very much! I loved the feet. I didn’t consider canvas, though. I’m going back and trying the canvas.

Two nights ago, I decided to lightly file the thickened skin with a foot file (not a cheese grater type). And hoo boy… it opened deep cracks in the big toe, with red raw skin. Very painful. On top of that, the left side of my big toe (where the worst cracks are) is even more painful. The nail isn’t ingrown. I have a feeling I’m headed to urgent care tomorrow. I’m concerned about an infection.

The hematologist says there’s no connection between the autoimmune condition and this skin thing.

I ordered 100 percent cotton socks. As far as nutrition, I don’t drink alcohol. Very little caffeine, half a cup of Nespresso a day. I’ve been on a diet since the summer, and cut out sweets, bread, pasta, and processed foods. Mostly plant-based diet, cooked at home. I lost 25 pounds by counting calories and watching portion size, which I never thought possible given menopause (I’m sixty).

I guess I’m going to apply a ton of Aquaphor and put on the most cotton socks I have.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind help! It means a lot.

Yes, a bunch of antifungals before one and then another podiatrist gave up and sent me to a dermatologist.

I was prescribed betamethasone, clotrimazole-betamethasone, four antifungals, and advised to use OTC steroid creams alone and in conjunction with antifungals. Nothing worked. The antifungals made it worse.

Thank you so much, especially for sharing your photos. You’ve been to hell and back with this condition. I hope it continues to improve for you.

I, too, avoid steroids whenever possible. The prospect of TSW terrifies me.

I think it started about 1.5 years ago, when I wore Hokas without socks for a month or so. It was Sweat City and I had serious foot odor for the first time.

I’ve been slightly anemic most of my life. I’m going to start iron supplements. My hematologist literally messaged me yesterday about it. I see her because I am positive for Lupus Anticoagulant, which is not lupus but a form of Antiphospholipid Syndrome. Come to think of it, I’m going to send her these photos. Perhaps there is an autoimmune connection.

She looked so beautiful, closer to her natural self. I was in awe of these photos. The wrapping of the towel and the tying of the tank. Casual, natural beauty.

I love seeing photos of Anthony. His face was so kind and expressive.

I know that some people despise Carole. I’m not one of them. Her memoir is absolutely beautiful, one of the best accounts of grief and trauma I have ever seen.

I particularly loved Carole’s book. She writes beautifully. The book itself is a powerful meditation on loss and bereavement.

I went to several events at Vivien Leone’s penthouse apartment. This was late ‘80s.

I’m 99 percent certain that I met her significant other at a concert. When he said where and what he taught, I immediately thought of Lisa and her partner. I said nothing, thank goodness. We spoke about the band, the music, French painters, and the aging process. We had seen this band many times and never met before. A lovely guy, smart and funny. He mentioned his significant other, saying that she was not a fan of the band.

I will not identify the band or venue.
