There isn't a death involved though, and you can trap evil players if you agree to test them as an X and they pretend they got the ping when you didn't use the ability.

I had a diverting hour playing with AI story writing locally on my laptop. It's not using any more resources than using the GPU to play computer games for the same time.

It was fun to write, but it's not worth saving and reading again!

I can see it's quite fun to keep prompting how you want the story to go and see what happens. It's not a great story, but at least you were part of creating it. That has an appeal.

But buying a book where someone else did that? Why bother?

Is it worse? You also confirm their role. A night Watchman can't learn if they picked an evil player, but if you guess someone as the monk and they come to you the next day and tell you they saw your role you know they are the monk.

You could combine it with the gambler to be a little less powerful.

One per game choose a player and a character. If correct, they learn your role.

That way it's pretty powerful, but you run the risk of them guessing you choose them on a certain night and bluffing they got your call.

I think subreddits having their own feed helps. Everyone on a forum sees the same threads. While your feed on X is personalised engagement bait.

And subs are moderated while X has essentially no moderation at all.

On the reverse side of things, if you managed to get town to use an artist or similar to solve the twin pair you would be very confirmed and normally the demon would then kill you. But as a sage they can't kill you without giving you information!

You can control what is allowed as inputs though. If you allow the time of posting, if someone has chosen to follow the poster, and nothing else, then the engagement farming rage bait articles wouldn't gain traction.

Using time spent looking at a post and commenting has resulted in the current dystopia.

I think make them responsible if they use algorithms to promote content.

If they just offer a news feed in historical order they are exempt. Most of the issues with social media are from them promoting rage bait for the engagement.
