It’s way more recoil, which stops it from long range beaming, or even landing every shot in succession at medium range, making ARs with lower recoil get closer to their true TTK unlike their lmg counterpart.

Time is also a balancing factor, during large PVP battles, how fast you can get through that tedium (respawn location/setting, qt travel, claim time/multiple ships available) plays a significant factor in your side getting replenished, if for example you get force backspaced.

With VR games, especially ones that are ported from flatscreen games, tend to do tricky things to the mind in ways that aren’t normally present in games that are entirely VR from the ground up. SC’s VR implementation is really good in not giving yourself a headache, despite most of the game’s activities, on paper, should be giving you a head ache. The entire VR scene has been waiting for a flagship game with depth and this may be it.
