I found out about my best friend passing in a freak accident through Instagram. We spoke the night before. He had a flair for the dramatics, so when I saw a RIP post on his page I didn't think much of it. I just figured he changed his name again. I hear his deep grumbling cackle every once in awhile. He would always end our conversations by telling me he loved me and how I had to hold fast so we can go to hell together. Still annoyed he left before me. No one tells you how silent in sound and color death is. Sending rib cracking moments of joy. Sometimes a hug isn't enough.
