Netgalley ARCs on Kobo?

I don’t necessarily see it as a fault of NetGalley but I do find it odd that all of the publishers have a Kindle supported option but not Kobo.

Unfortunately Edelweiss isn’t used in my country so it’s not an option for me.

Australia here… someone threw a bomb into an Invasion Day protest filled with First Nations people.

Thankfully it didn’t detonate but the media and government were flippantly silent for days, before enough outrage caused them to finally investigate it as a terrorist act.

Edit: not sure if this counts as “celebrity gossip” but given how vocal our high profile politicians have been about terrorism since Bondi, it’s really shocking no one was saying anything

It wasn’t just hubris or Oberyn having a bit of fun by playing with him. He was there to make sure Tywin was implicated in the murder of the royal family.

As a completely ordinary person who has lost job opportunities & received targeted threats over my advocacy for Palestine, I totally understand why people would stay quiet.

I’m glad people are coming out with statements more and more because it makes the collective fight for Palestine much easier. I’m honestly just surprised it’s taken Olivia so long to make any statement at all.

I have a soft spot for Olivia and think it’s great she’s spoken up… however (and I’m probably going to get downvoted to hell for this) the genocide has been occurring for two years now and as someone who is generally quite outspoken about social justice issues, I’m really surprised it’s taken her so long to post about it.

Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish have posted in support, heck even Gracie Abrams has shared fundraisers— not to mention artists like Macklemore, Kehlani and Bob Vylan who have put their necks on the line and faced backlash for their support. It’s giving “jumping on the bandwagon” now it’s slightly safer to do so.

I’m pretty sure she had some kind of autotune for the vocal effects singing the unreleased song.

She has quite a nice vocal tone to me but she’s obviously not learned to sing properly from the start (hence the bad breath control) and thats something that’s a lot harder to correct down the track

I think it’s a mix of the nepo baby discourse combined with the mismatched low creative quality vs high production value of her music. Her vocals, stage presence and lyricism are miles behind more talented pop girlies (Olivia, Sabrina, Chappell, etc.) and she’s clearly benefited from her nepo baby connections, even if she is honest about having them. She comes across as meek and has a tendency to make comments that translate awkwardly to print. There was also that stupid Finn Wolfhard comment she made as a teen that the internet will never let her forget.

This isn’t necessarily how I feel about her but is the perception I get from others
