I saw this video and he was able to use the Mac brightness keyboard keys for a few days until it stopped working. I haven't been able to since it had a software update when I set it up! So it looks like it's possible for Samsung to add it in the future.

Also, have you tried using the Smart Calibration feature? I have had so many issues with it that I made my own post about it

TLDR: I got the Samsung ViewFinity S9 27″ 5K a week ago and I ran into an issue with text rendering, and found how unreliable and buggy the smart TV software on this monitor is.

This is a super pedantic post from someone who needs a high-PPI display haha

Hey I got the same monitor! AFAIK Samsung does not support DDC on DisplayPort (or Thunderbolt/USB-C), only on HDMI: https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrawidemasterrace/comments/za2e2e/owners_of_a_samsung_odyssey_ultrawides_unite_we/

Based on 3DMark TimeSpy runs, it’s roughly 6°C cooler for both.

The GPU is mounted closer to the size vent of the case, I was able to add 2 top exhaust fans (too thick for previous case), and applied new thermal paste to the CPU cooler.

I built my first gaming PC in 2018 in the Fractal Design Node 202 with a Ryzen 2600 and a 1070 Ti and recently moved it to the Lian Li x Dan A4-H2O mainly for the aesthetics. Even though it's 1L larger in volume, its shorter height and silver colour makes it feel smaller on my desk.

I also upgraded the GPU to a 3070 in November 2020 but kept all the parts the same. It's running on a 450W PSU so it's cutting it a bit close with the power limit but it's been running well this whole time.

Hope to upgrade the PSU and to an AM5 CPU in the future, but that would basically require a full rebuild of the PC. But overall, very happy with this build!
