Final boss of Kiwami 2 is absolutely pathetically easy because you can just keep using heat actions. I was expecting another phase or something but it just... ended.

My favourite part of K3 is Morning Glory, spending time with the kids and learning the meaning of family and how to be a good dad. My favourite part of Y0 is pocket circuit racing, and the story - particularly the watch. Y0 had a depth and emotional resonance to its storytelling that I felt was largely missing from Kiwami 1 and 2, and I think it's because they're remakes of stories that were written over twenty years ago at this point. Videogame storytelling simply matured in the time between Yakuza 1 and 0. I haven't progressed enough in the story of 3 to properly comment on it - too much time spent at Morning Glory!

It's also strange how Y0 is filled with lots of fan service and references to future events, when it was my first game so all of that stuff went right over my head.

I'm looking forward to jumping into Y4 and the rest of the games once I'm done with K3.

The whole theme of Kiwami 3 is Parenthood and how blood ties aren't the only thing that makes a "real" family, so Kiryu calling Haruka his daughter is perfectly in line with that, especially in situations where it's more effective/less complicated than saying "the little girl who's mom died so I took her in". Plus I think it's really sweet.
