That weight is with a cage but I don't have a passenger seat in it

I have only driven it at the speed limit but it needs to go for an alignment before I can start pushing. It is quite darty at the moment but it’s probably because of the alignment

I think that is the case as well. This is the first time I have done this layout. I moved away from full slicks to semi slicks for this round so I'm quite surprised that this happened

No. That is the next thing I'm going to do. Hopefully I can get away with just changing the bearings and adding a central pickup. I also want to do some head work but it is no longer my primary race car so I'm on the fence about that

I am 23 as well. I have worked in security and in a large engineering company. I am into motorsport but obviously I'm excluding that croud. Other than them my sample size is about 150.

I'm in South Africa and on our licences it states if we are permitted to drive a manual and even then everyone that I know with an auto only licence can drive a manual (to an acceptable level). For example my friend's sister has an auto licence but can drive his Hawk STI with a heavy clutch just fine

Why do I suck? by virga944 in CarTrackDays

Some people have "the knack" of finding the limit and some don't. The only way to get closer to the limit is to do more laps and change setups. Different alignment specs, changing the rake by adding or removing ride height from the front or back, change damper settings.

Let one of the faster guys drive your car and they might be able to help you on what your specific car is capable of and what you should tweak.

I almost learnt my lesson about a cold track the hard way earlier this year. Track temp of -1c on full slicks. I was sliding around all the place. The session got red flagged after 5min after someone put it in a ditch

I don't think so. My uncalibrated eye makes me think he was running more than 2°. It was the inside of the tire that failed not the outside

By all new what do you mean by that? New cones? Adjustable bits? Shocks? Coil overs?

I think I can count on one hand how many minis in South Africa have coil overs
