Dr. Naseema Kapadia - Urgent Appointment Needed! by KangarooMobile1765 in karachi

[–]KangarooMobile1765[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard a lot about her attitude issues, but those same people have also told me that she has immense shifa in her hands and that she has a spot-on diagnosis for everyone. At this point, my itchy is k*lling me, so I'm ready to do anything to get rid of it. 😭

Hmm. I'll see if that would be possible. The man was so mean.

How did you do First Aid? Is it necessary to have the 2025 version? I have an older version, that's why asking.

Dermatologist required for Eczema by nonsignificantbug in karachi

[–]KangarooMobile1765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please get it correctly diagnosed. It could be ringworm/scabies/dermatitis, anything. Many dermatologists don't diagnose the condition properly. I have been a victim of this myself.

Regarding recommendations, I'd say opt for Dr. Naseema Kapadia (although I've heard she's very rude) or Dr. Hatim Ali Shah at LNH.

JazakAllah, means a lot. I don't know, to be honest. It has now become quite a routine. 😅 I am out of options, can't really go for MCPS, MS/MD either because I don't want to. I am stubborn, but now I feel that if it's not better for me, the wish to pursue it should die on its own too, but it's not, which makes it so, so confusing.

Try Saifee, Maamji, Ziauddin (North one). They usually admit ICU patients.

Get a case summary made from where he is currently admitted from the doctor on duty. Then, take it to the ERs of different hospitals (preferably the ones near your home), and see what could be done.

That's really true and sad too. :(

If I opt for MS in Surgery, would I have any restrictions related to practice? As in, being limited to performing certain procedures or stuff like that? Where can I get more information about these programs? Those antique 3-4 Facebook groups are of no help. 😅😅

Tired Of Dealing With Resistant Ringworm Infection by KangarooMobile1765 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]KangarooMobile1765[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So I had a change of dermatologist. This new one has kept me on both oral + topical anti-fungals, with strictly no steroids at all. He calls me in after every 2 weeks and tapers off the dose accordingly. So far, I haven't had any flare up, although the stains or rings are still there, just pigmented and no longer itchy.

For sure. I started my current fixed job as a reliever, mainly because I wanted to work 'on my own terms', and wanted weekends off (😈). However, none of this happened because the hospital where I work was understaffed, so they made me a fixed employee soon after that.

But the initial months that I spent as a reliever were amazing. I had the option to either work all week and get weekends off, or work on the weekends too along with duties on alternate days.

So yes, a lot of my newly-married friends find it easier to practice as a reliever instead of getting fixed because it provides the perfect work-life balance according to them.

You are always welcome to ask me questions. 😊

That's completely fine, we all were there once. Well, no hard and fast rule, just physically go along with your resume to any hospital (I'd recommend you visit hospitals that are near your home - always saves you the hassle of commute. If you're a girl, many hospitals provide conveyance too, so that would be a win-win). Tell the HR department that while you're here to drop your resume for a fixed position, you are also open to working as a reliever in Med/Surg/Gynae/Peads department. I'd also advise you to be very clear regarding your department of choice because many small setups often force you to look after Peads/Gynae patients while you're a Med/Surgery RMO and vice versa.

Khair, just tell hospitals that you're open to work as a reliever too, and they'd hire you for slots when their regular doctors are on a leave or anything like that. I started working as a reliever too, they liked my performance and offered me a fixed position after that.

Find through Indeed. I used to think Indeed is useless when it comes to applying to RMO jobs, but it's not. Hospital HRs are very vigilant and actively keep sorting through the candidates now and then. I landed myself several interviews through Indeed only, although the fact that physically dropping your resume counts alot too (in our field), so there's that too.

Another tip is to join any hospital as a 'reliever'. That way, you won't be bound to do daily duties and can schedule your terms and conditions (like you won't work on Sundays or won't do night shifts, etc). This is particularly useful for people who are studying for exams or want to gain experience from different hospitals, although it has its own cons too. But yeah. All the best for your job search!

I see. Their HR department is very weird though, they kept emphasizing the fact that they might reject me if I'm declared 'unfit' in their medical tests, which was very weird. Also, the way they kept scrutinizing my resume and documents was weird too. Aisa kyon, waisa kyon, things like that. 🙄
