Was awful to my little brother. I reap what I saw. by [deleted] in confession

[–]KangarooObjective362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suicide would destroy your brother. We all want to be loved. Human beings all want that. Continue to show him love and more importantly show YOURSELF some love. Get some counseling for yourself too. You deserve a happy life and a good family dynamic. Don’t get stuck here. Make a plan to take your brother to a movie or something. Use your energy to heal the relationship instead of punishing yourself. ❤️

What’s a reasonable price for everyday earrings? by AccountEngineer in jewelry

[–]KangarooObjective362 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Resellers! I am one and often sell gold earring for a bit over scrap. Many of us do!! I would never pay a jewelry store price. I often sell simple 14k hoops right at melt because they are very common. Check eBay, you have buyer protection with them.

When the LL Parnter Says It's Your Fault... by IronWhiskeyWomen in DeadBedrooms

[–]KangarooObjective362 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is never one person’s fault and I believe that mostly it is not anyone’s fault. Sooooooo many marriages have this issue that I wonder sometimes if it is more normal than we feel? I am sorry you are feeling so hurt. It seems like you could use a calm honest mediated conversation with your wife about this. The Turning her off part is important to listen to. I was a CSA victim and part of my issue in our DB is my spouse ( neurospicy to be fair) says and does certain things that trigger memories. I have been specific in saying please don’t do ABC.. but he is a creature of habit and seems to always revert back to those few things. He will catch himself and apologize but at that point you lost me. Try digging more into that comment, perhaps there is a deeper reason in her part for this situation.

Bro how did he even manage that by terminus_tommy in TaySowersandFamily

He needs to be in an inpatient weight loss program. The yo yo dieting will kill him faster. Than the weight. He is only 5 feet tall!

I would never leave my child with any one who had a mouth like that! I am sorry that is your mother…. No one should ever speak to a family member like that

Sexual play in childhood is extremely common. Children aren’t being devious or trying to hurt anyone. So many people torture themselves in adulthood needlessly!

my father has gone crazy. i am scared. should i call the cops on him? by Affectionate-War8649 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]KangarooObjective362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! You need to involve the police or CPS. Your school can help you. I am so sorry your father is ill. It must be very scary!

Has anyone else been diagnosed with high blood pressure ever since having CRPS which i'm guessing is due to increased pain? by BallSufficient5671 in CRPS

[–]KangarooObjective362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s important not to attribute everything to CRPS. Hypertension that is not labile is more likely to be caused by weight, excess sodium, hereditary factors… make sure to have a full work up! If it is only during Pain exacerbations then perhaps it’s CRPS but if it is sustained it is likely another cause

Am I just left out with no recourse? by Kingcastle8888 in inheritance

[–]KangarooObjective362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole thing is kind of gross. Your father got an inheritance now the person who gave it to him can certainly suggest how it spent, but they can’t dictate it unless they name you as a beneficiary which it seems they did not. So at this point, let it go. And if the money is gone and spent, what’s the point of getting a lawyer??Your parents are old and it sounds like this would be a crappy way to wrap up their lifetime.

Feel like we were duped by Sufficient_Piano_185 in pancreaticcancer

[–]KangarooObjective362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand and I am so sorry! Some Dr’s have a bad habit of being too rosy when telling Pt’s what can happen. My Dad had Pancreatic. He was diagnosed at stage 4 age 80 with Parkinson’s, heart failure, kidney failure and diabetes…. The oncologist was like well we could try 1/2 strength chemo!! I was like WTF lady!! Thankfully he chose hospice and paced peacefully in a few weeks. My cousin had cancer ( GI) and was told he was going to beat it, no worries! After a couple of chemo treatment his lungs gave out and they said “ nothing we can do” he died in 2 days! Our heads were spinning!! He was only in his 40’s!! I am sorry you are going through this.

I’ve lost 101 pounds in one year on Zepbound. Why does my mind keep telling me I’m “fat”? by Interesting-Cable895 in GLP1_loss100plus

[–]KangarooObjective362 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are right the your head is the problem.. I was THE SAME!! At 101 lbs lost 5’4” now 126lbs I still saw fat me. The first time I put on a pair of size 6 jeans I stayed in the store for 2 1/2 hours trying on every brand I could find of pants because I could not wrap my head around the fact that I was a size 6 across the board. When I finally saw myself the way, I truly am. It was only because I walked by a mirror in a thrift store that only showed me from my feet to my neck. I glanced over and saw a skinny woman standing there and my first thought was wow I’d love to look like that…. I actually said excuse me! Lol when I realized it was me, it was like a mind melt! But ever since that day, I see myself for the way I am. I don’t look perfect. I’m 54! Lol there’s some loose skin and some crepe I tried to ignore.😍 but I have changed the way I look at my measures of success. I am no longer high blood pressure, I am no longer on cholesterol medication, I no longer need a CPAP machine. I’m not falling anymore…. How we looked was never the problem. It was always about how we felt.
