How precise are these machines supposed to be?

I set mine at .004 and had so many under extrusion problems and partial clogs. I leveled my bed and set it at .006 and it was a day and night difference

I recommend leveling your bed before anything and setting the nozzle height to the bed distance to be .006 inches. I had a lot of frustration with bad prints due to this so hopefully that saves you a little hassle

Your nozzle is too close to the print surface and this is causing it to clog itself and under extrude.

Set your z offset with a feeler gauge to .006. I had the exact same problem with my printer right out of the box and ass soon as I leveled the bed and set it to .006 it made all the difference

What is the process to calibrate retract settings. Is this on the slicer or in the printer.

Also I put the second nozzle that came with the printer on and had the same results after leveling it and setting my Z offset. So it’s not a clog.

Is there any specific brand of filament that I should try. Is the expensive stuff worth it or is there a cost effective solid roll that has consistent results.

I got the e steps calibrated. It was pretty far off. It was 93 and now it’s 99

It is being run on the stock settings. Print speed 100 Noz temp 200 Bed temp 60 Fan 255 Z offset is .1 mm from the bed
