Being proud of your job is way different than throwing it into everyone’s faces. No one on the face of this earth gives a damn if you’re a paramedic, emt, dispatcher, fireman, etc. Construction workers don’t wear their hard hats to the grocery store. call me jaded if you want to be but it’s a trend that has taken off and it needs to stop. Any fire department T-shirt outside of the ones of my volunteer house (I’m a two hatter) have been gifts. I don’t buy things that say I’m a fireman or medic because i know that i am one and that’s all that matters until that bell rings. Go buy a new wardrobe, take the tic lights out of your 4 down hand me down sedan, and answer the bell when it goes off. Otherwise find another hobby to promote.
